Weekends

Two weekends ago was Arisia: I spent a lot of time singing and listening in the filkroom, and the rest of it hanging out with assorted nifty people. It was a good con.

Last weekend I took a bus to Utica (which has a gorgeous train/bus station; pictures perhaps later), got picked up by friends and drove north to Port Leyden, where I and 20 other Delaware Valley inclined dancers spent the weekend cross-country skiing, eating good food, and dancing in the living room of the guest house we took over. Also lots of fun. Yay snow!

This weekend was spent doing housework with interludes of fun: I finally got lumber to put up a large shelf in our office, and am halfway through finishing it, and I cleaned the bathroom and the kitchen floor. In between, on Saturday carpenter and I finally tried the Afghani place a few blocks down Mass Ave, which turned out to be good, and went to see "No Country for Old Men", which was excellent; Sunday there was roleplaying, during which I got to shoot lightning at a bear. Exciting. :-)

Next weekend is E-S Ball; the plan is to carpool down early on Saturday, and back on Sunday. It'll be a short trip, but worth it.

The weekend after that is Boskone. I don't even know where I'll be sleeping; cab fare home would not be more expensive than a share of a hotel room, which I haven't found yet, but would be more annoying, so we'll see what happens. Also, gaming at our apartment Sunday afternoon. Also, demo team practice.

The weekend after that, who knows. Possibly I will fall over.
