Natural Born Killers
Though it was directed by Oliver Stone, Natural Born Killers has writer Quentin Tarantino's love of pulp and screen violence all over it. As a portrayal and satire of the violence and hypocrisy in American society - a hypocrisy it deliberately tangles itself up in - it's reasonably successful. Like most Tarantinto, though, you wonder how much there really is to it.

Waking Life
So, we've got this film with a load of monologues about existentialism and stuff like that. A character casually drops the name Kierkegaard. Steven Sonderberg makes a cameo. How can we make this film more art-housey? Let's rotoscope it!

Sunshine
I wanted to like Sunshine more. It's got a lot of good points, like unobtrusive technology, decent acting and great visuals. It's a film that clearly should be watched on the big screen. In the end, though, I found it a bit dull. It was the story that was the problem. It wasn't bad, it was just very standard.
