two down, two to go
First day of classes is over with. I've got two in Pensacola on MWF and two in Milton on TR. So far, so good. I like Roos, my lit teacher. He's going to be refreshing and fun, I can tell already. As for Land, all I have to say is, here we go again. I had him last semester, and he's a good guy and all, but he can be rather annoying. Not to mention I hate accounting in the first place.
I saw Lindsey today for the first time in 3 years. We talked for a couple of minutes, and then we both had to go. It was good to see her again, and now I can say for certain that I truly mean that.
As for other things, I'm out of work for about a week. Good because I needed the break, but bad because I still need the money. Oy vey. Not to mention my knee hurts, and this brace is a pain. Hopefully I'll get a follow-up appointment sometime this week, and then I won't have to wear it too much longer.
Went to church last night - I went over to Lana's house beforehand due to her sister's orders, so Lana could drop me off at the door and I wouldn't have to walk across the parking lot. So I rode with them to church, and then afterwards I was invited in for good old fashioned tea. No - really. "Ashley, would you like to come in for some tea?" "Tea" was complete with English muffins and pastries and cheese and pie. A girl could get used to these Russian traditions! I wish my family did things like that. Plus its always fun when they go off in Russian. I just look at Maria, nod my head and say "Yep - what they said." It cracks the kid up every time. ;)
I've got to go ahead and do accounting homework before I start to procrastinate it. What the hell - who but Land would give you homework on the first day?!
