not a day goes by
Today was a very exciting and productive day for me. Dad and I went furniture shopping - and I bought myself a new bedroom suite! Well, he bought the bed for me (for Christmas), but I bought everything else. VERY excited - I've never owned a new bedroom suite in all of my life. In fact - I've never owned a bedroom suite at all. 21 years of mismatched furniture of different shapes and colors - now I get a cherry finish sleigh bed and all the perks that match! WHOOT! It won't come in for another month - I have to wait in line - but that's just fine with me. Gives me more time to save up some more before I have to pay the full amount. I put the deposit in today.
I've been working nonstop for the past couple of weeks, and besides Christmas day, this was the first day I had off. I got up at 9 instead of sleeping till 1 like I usually do, and for those of you that know me, this is a major feat. However, I'm not perfect - I took a 3 hour nap when we got home and ended up missing church :0
I never thought I would say this, but my dad and I are getting along famously - even affectionately - for once. I'm proud of this. Perhaps we're both getting more understanding of each other as we grow older. I hope thats it.
Okay, enough of that. I'm off to read!
