"Now for this very reason also, applying all diligence, in your faith supply moral excellence, and in your moral excellence, knowledge; and in your knowledge, self-control, and in your self control, perseverance, and in your perseverance, godliness; and in your godliness, brotherly kindness, and in your brotherly kindness, Christian love. For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they render you neither useless nor unfruitful in the true knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. For he who lacks these qualities is blind or short-sighted, having forgotten his purification from his former sins." (2 Pet. 1:5-9)
Hmmm...
This passage jumped out at me today. I'm glad it did.
I hope everyone's Christmas was a good one. Mine was great - we went over to Aunt Donna's, as usual. Robbie came over, and for the first time, I actually really talked to him somewhat. Not for long, and not about anything grand - but I talked to him nonetheless, which is a vast improvement over last year. And you know what? I don't think I can wait another whole year to see him again. At least if I can help it. So I think I'll get his number from Aunt Donna and call him, see if he wants to go out sometime. I think it's high time I stopped being shy. It gets me nowhere. And I think for the first time I'm ready to just throw caution out the window and go for it. Hmmm...how odd for me to say.
I laughed today. That felt nice. I love to laugh...
"Laughter is the language of the young at heart. And you know what? You don't have to be happy to laugh. You become happy because you laugh." - Barbra Johnson
