Too much happening at once...
Hello to all you people out there in LiveJournal Land!!
A bit has happened since I last wrote. Bill has his car, he has been driving me around all the time :o) now he has about 7 months of driving to make up for... haha, just kidding. I wouldn't make him drive around for THAT long. We have been hanging out with Michelle and Tim a lot lately. We went to their house last Saturday, then this past Friday & Saturday. It was fun times. MAP was there on Saturday. We had many fun times playing Taboo... "This is a hard one..." haha.
Anyway, Bill and I got some surprising news the other day. Bill's sister Tanisha and her husband Kenny have been living in the apartment next door to his parents' house for about a year. His parents own the house and Tanisha and Kenny pay them rent. Well, they just decided that since they have a baby, and another on the way that they are going to move into a bigger apartment in Lincoln for less money. Smart idea if you ask me. But that isn't the surprising part. The surprising part is that Bill's mom asked him if we want the apartment. It would be $800 a month WITHOUT heat, hot water & electricity. That sucks. But, they could be getting $950 for that apartment. It's a 2 bedroom, and it is quite cute. We are torn with the idea. I mean, we would have to move in by the 1st of June. Which would be nice, but then again we wouldn't be able to save as much as we had liked if we do it that way. Another good part about this is that we wouldn't have to pay a security deposit or anything. Just the $800 up front. So that isn't too bad. I guess we have a lot of options to weigh out... We will see I guess.
We are also looking into getting an apartment at Jamestown Apartments right up the street from my house now. It is $850 a month with everythihng included. All we would need to get is cable. That isn't too bad. But we have to pay 1st month's rent + a security deposit up front... (basically 2 months rent). And we wouldn't be able to move in until there is a vacancy. There might not be a vacancy until July or August. So I guess we will see what happens...
If anyone has any opinions... please HELP! We are lost...
In other news, I bought a latch-hook kit! :o) I am in the middle of making a rug. It looks cute so far. We are going to put it in front of our bedroom door when we get an apartment.
OK well I have to get going... suppertime, then Bill is coming over! Toodles!!
