Blockbuster.com's online rental service rocks. One of the girls at the local Blockbuster was telling me that they were gonna be making some changes, and she was extremely excited about it, but she wouldn't tell me what the changes were going to be. I thought she was exaggerating and getting all worked up for nothing, but it turns out that she wasn't.

Every time that I return one of my online rentals to a Blockbuster store instead of dropping it in the mailbox, I get an additional free movie rental from the store. I have a feeling I'm going to be watching quite a few more movies now. This will give me an opportunity to cross off a few more movies from the list that Dave made (and expanded) for me. Not counting the ones that I'd seen years ago, I've only crossed three movies off the list: The Edge, Lord of War, and Eurotrip. I've got at least thirty to go!

In addition to keeping up with Dave's neverending movie list, I'm also trying to keep up with my reading. I finished The Cider House Rules by John Irving and moved on to Storm Winds by Iris Johansen. Annette lent me about four books a couple of months ago, and after I finished The Broker, I set the other three aside for a while. I feel badly about holding on to her books for so long, though, so I've been trying to dedicate myself to reading those while also keeping up with the multitude of other books that I want to read.

I also received a shipment from Amazon today, which was exciting. Contents:
The Basic Eight by Daniel Handler...I already own the original paperback of this one, but I had to have a copy with the new cover (reprint!!!)
Watch Your Mouth, also by Daniel Handler
I Like You: Hospitality Under the Influence by Amy Sedaris -- just from browsing, I can tell that I'm going to love this one. It may even encourage me to attempt to learn to cook!

Okay, enough typing about the books that I want to read. I'm going to watch Lost (looove my DVR...am I becoming too technology- and entertainment-obsessed?) and maybe read a bit before bed.
