I'm sitting in my home, on my still oddly wireless-capable computer (no idea where "<0.0>" would be coming from....) watching the Wings and the Penguins play, hoping that in 17 minutes and 14 seconds, Pittsburgh doesn't score twice and digesting far too much food (the most I've eaten since I've been home, which pales in comparison to what I used to eat) wondering who I should message when about what (as I can't seem to muster up the energy necessary for an AIM conversation.

Since I've been home, I've managed to accomplish a few things. I've become a day person. I know, terrifying thought. But the latest I've stayed up has been 1am and I've seldom slept more than 8 hours. I did once, my third day back, because I was severely sleep deprived the prior 3-4 nights. Life is just now slowing down enough for me to keep up. Graduations/parties are done, initial catch-ups are done, and I'm just now starting to fall into the flow of things. It'll be mildly interrupted by my trip to Mount Pleasant Monday/Tuesday, but I'll have Wednesday to set it right again.

This is going to sound absolutely awful and I realize this, but don't take offense. Since I've been home, I may be the most relaxed I've been in a long time. Being trapped like I was in my apartment really took it's toll. It forced me to focus far too much internally and not reach out beyond myself. I'm glad to have some breathing room. Don't get me wrong, I'm excited to move back to Mount Pleasant, but while I'm home, I'm going to enjoy it.

I'm increasingly glad I'm home this summer. In reality, it signifies a lot of drastic changes that are coming. My little sister is graduating, effectively removing the children from my parent's house. Yes, Kristie and Danara will visit, and yes, Dreeka and I will probably spend Christmas here and move the rest of our belongings out by the next summer, but shortly thereafter, this will not be our permanent residence. My parents have gotten rid of their computer/internet, so I'm definitely going to be pushing to be included on the family cell phone plan (it would cost each of us $40 tops for me, Mom, and Dreeka-san and that's with Alltel/Verizon and unlimited texting). Changes are definitely coming. I'm looking forward to what that'll entail down the road.

I still have a lot I need to work on this summer. My stomach issues are ever bit as bad as they used to be, which is weird, considering how relatively healthy I've been the past week (Oh. PS-I am the lightest I've been in 5-6 years. 202 lbs. Schweet.) I still have to work on being as fit as I'd like to be, so yes, that means running, swimming (in a month and a half or so...) although, carry out will do wonders for that. I actually fell asleep with relative ease the other night because of the physical work I did. I'd forgotten how amazing that feeling is.

Sidenote: Red Wings win over Penguins, 3-1 ^_^

*Cringe* Now Pat has something with Will Ferrel and soccer on...

I'll be making the rounds in terms of seeing what people are up to in the very near future. I've gotta take advatage of my time before/after work.

Also, I still have a cough...and I'm getting sick of Alkaseltzer Plus...Blah....

home, health, changes
