We stayed the night at my friend's house (ranch!) outside of Dallas. She had a horse, a gecko, two chinchillas, a dog and lots and lots of land. We saw this dog down the road...he was sleeping and looked really pained for us to interrupt his rest driving the noisy van down a dirt road.
