The Shattered Hand had instructed her to hide here weeks ago, tracking and watching the patterns of the guards along the walls of Theramore. She knew the city by heart, the maps and the guards’ patrols she had studied with equal intensity.
Climb the wall during the twelve steps down, over when he turns his back, blade to the throat quickly and quietly, then down the wall before the other guard turns back to look. She had planned her path to enter the city for any watch, any patrol. She did not know who her target would be,or where he would be. But she would be ready.
