Surely You Can't Be Serious

Well, my day was actually going decently until I tried to leave work. The plan was to leave work, jog in the park, and go home. Well, the person beside me had parked at an angle so his front left tire was pretty much in my parking space, with the back end of the vehicle looking normal. Thinking it was normal, I tried to back out like normal. Obviously this didn't work. Ended up scraping both of our vehicles.

Okay. Slight panic. Took me a second to notice, but when I did I parked the car and checked out the damage. No major dents or body damage but definite scrapes. There were people in the parking lot but no one was coming forward to claim the vehicle. I couldn't find the owner, and I'll admit that I should have tried harder, but in the end I left all of my information tucked under the windshield and I left.

Not even ten minutes down the road I get a call from my uncle. Apparently the head nurse had called him informing him that I had done a hit and run. She had seen it on the cameras, from what I gather, but that still confuses me, all considering. Still, Kenny was upset, so I had to call the head nurse and leave her my info as well as tell her that I had left all my info on the car. Still, she insisted on having my number in case the driver wanted to involve the police.

I left my info, I called my insurance, apparently when the other driver was found he pretty much brushed off the incident as just some scratches, but I'm still worried sick. I don't like how the head nurse immediately jumped to conclusions, I don't like how my uncle was immediately involved, and my uncle informed me that he now had to go in in the morning to talk with the head of the place, no details given. Yeah. I'm a wee bit stressed right now. *flails*

And it was insulting how many people -- including the insurance agent -- thought it was amazing that I hadn't done a hit and run. Thanks.

rl, fuck
