Am I on the right track in guessing that Ulfhilde had prayed for Hel's blessing, and paid for it with virgin's blood? (That is quite a sacrifice.)

And one last thing: I thought that the altar had been torn down? How was she able to touch her own blood to the altar then? I'm referring to this sentence: "She walked to the center of the room where the stone altar had been before."

...I'm not quite sure what to say. On one hand Ulfhilde's self-possession and pride is amazing; on the other is my immediate revulsion to bowing to the whims of gods and being thankful for any act that involves dub- or non-con. So - congratulations on well-written moral ambiguity? ^^;

Although what Cloud would be like when fathered by Chaos and guided by Hel is a fascinating thought. And being Sephiroth's younger half-brother? Oh dear. Ha, Zack would have such fun with that one - and a one-winged Sephiroth with a demon-winged KH-style Cloud and Zack in the middle... *is distracted by the possibilities*

You know, I've seen fics where Cloud and Rufus were related but never fics with Seph and Cloud related, especially through Chaos. :D Just a thought...

Wow, this is...twisted and fabulous. I love the unexpected shift, and how it's just kind of like... -BAM!- And that's it and she's pregnant. The whole thing has this crazy, surreal feeling to it, and it's so vivid in my head.
