Always a Surprise
Aeris looked so sweet and innocent. In her pink dress with her long, soft hair held back by a pink bow, green eyes warm and bright, she looked like one of the few innocents left in the darkness that was Midgar. Barrett seemed convinced of this, treating her like delicate glass. Everyone around them treated her like a gentle Lady, of the type Tifa's father had always wanted Tifa to be.
Tifa really, really should have guessed something by Cloud's treatment of her. Cloud, after all, knew her best, and however oblivious the blond could be of so many things, there had to be a reason for the wariness in the proud warrior's eyes whenever Aeris offered a suggestion.
Of course, even if Tifa started being suspicious of the cheerful brunette, she never would have guessed she would end up in her current situation.
"Oh! Oh!"
"Well!" Aeris said brightly, wiping a spot of white away from her pink lips. "You really are flexible, aren't you?"
Why Tifa was naked and Aeris was completely dressed, Tifa honestly didn't know, but with Aeris' nimble fingers twisting like they were, she couldn't find a breath to complain.
"I bet we could convince Cloud to join in," Aeris continued conversationally. "We might have to bully him a little, but he's too nice to say no. Beside, he'd enjoy it, don't you think?"
If Tifa never saw that first kiss coming, there was no way she could have ever seen this coming.
"He's flexible, too," Aeris added helpfully. "Oh, speaking of which..."
She lifted Tifa's leg back up and slid down again.
If Tifa could have thought enough to have expectations then, she might have expected her last thought would have been about Cloud.
Instead, it was about what else Aeris used that pole for.
