FF7 Bunny: Explanations
All right, this is an FF7-Zack/Cloud bunny, free for whomever wants it. It ruthlessly attacked me when I played the song "How Do I Live (Without You)" and refused to go away (particularly while the song was on repeat). If you want, that's fine, if you don't, that's fine, too. I just wanted it down.
With every step AVALANCHE took, Cloud wondered when he would be caught.
Aeris knew he was lying, of course. She kept eyeing him out of the corner of her eye, perhaps trying to figure out why he was lying, or perhaps trying to figure out why he seemed familiar--if he did at all. He told Cloud that he had constantly told her about the young blond, but that was years ago. She had probably forgotten. Cloud smiled wryly to himself. And she was probably--hopefully--trusting him enough to come clear about everything sooner or later, because she had yet to catch him on his lie.
Barrett would probably call him a dirty lying ShinRa. Cid would probably join in. Nanaki would look so disappointed in him--"Why didn't you tell us sooner, Cloud?"--and a part of him feared that Vincent would, too.
If Vincent cared at all.
Yuffie would harass him, Cait Sith would probably fall silent--if he didn't know, Cloud would eat his Buster Sword--and Tifa . . . Tifa . . .
Oh yeah. He was not looking forward to that one.
But with any luck, Cloud would find him first, and he could clear everything up (after Cloud explained to him why he was lying). He would simply explain that he thought it would be easier to get jobs if he claimed he was a SOLDIER, and he didn't want to explain why his eyes were glowing if he wasn't a SOLDIER. He would understand, and knowing him, he could explain it in a way that didn't leave Cloud full of holes.
And maybe then . . . when Cloud found him again . . .
Zack could explain why he wasn't there when Cloud woke up from his mako poisoning.
