As you can no doubt tell from my LJ, I'm not really fannishly active these days, but I always come back for yuletide. Here are more details on my requests.
I'm generally speaking much more into the happier or more humorous end of the scale than angst or darkness. As I've said in prior letters, basically, no darker than the tone of the source and with the sense of humor of the source is probably a good guideline for what would make me happiest. Please don't kill or rape any of the central characters. Otherwise, I'm really quite flexible. My requests this year are all non-relationship-based (gen, or thereabouts), but I also read both het and slash quite happily.
If you're looking through my fic to see what I like, I've done Yuletide every year, so there are stories by me in both the old YT archive and the AO3 Yuletide archive. Everything else linked here in LJ is ancient, really, and probably terrible, and I haven't updated my personal site in years. But what's in the YT archives would give you a decent sampling of my taste, probably. Really, I'd be thrilled to see a story in any of these fandoms, so whichever one you write is fine by me. Have some fun with it, and I'm sure I'll be delighted.
Specifics:
I requested Hawkeye, The Middleman, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and Scandal. In general, I'm not really shippy about any of those, although I don't inherently object to shippiness, and I'm cool with the canon relationships in each of those fandoms.
Hawkeye: Who doesn't love Pizza Dog? Include anyone else you like, too. I'm not up on my broader Marvel continuity (I read lots of other comics regularly, but only dabble in Marvel - this, Captain Marvel, and Fearless Defenders, FYI), so tying this in with, say, a current Avengers storyline would be kind of lost on me (although feel free to refer to whatever you need to to be true to the fandom), but I'm current on Hawkeye issues. I love the humor of the series and I capital L-loved the Pizza Dog issue.
The Middleman: MM, Ida, WW. Loved the show, can't wait for the new graphic novel. Nothing too shippy in any direction please, but otherwise run with it and have fun. There can never be enough Middleman in the world. I love the humor and the in-jokes and all the joy of the series.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine: I am loving the show so far - the captain is a particular fave, but I selected 0 characters to offer maximum freedom for you since we're only a couple of episodes in at this point. Maybe something about him with more flashbacks to the Disco Strangler case (I think that was the name - mostly I remember him yelling "Drop the yo-yo"), maybe something about the arrest total bet, maybe just the whole team together at the station.
Scandal: Huck. I heart Huck - current mostly functional Huck, hairy homeless Huck, pre-hole Huck with family, whatever. I love his friendship with Olivia and his protectiveness of Quinn. He gave her a family! It can be any kind of story, as long as there is Huck, and preferably some kind of insane problem that needs fixing going on somewhere (doesn't have to be the focus).
