Life is pretty sweet right now. I ended my internship and came back from North Carolina during the last week in April. Leaving was really bitter/sweet and I miss my animals and the keepers down there a lot. The good news is that I'm an official MSU alum now! Somehow I managed to get my Bachelors of Science in Zoology in four years which is pretty amazing since there were times I thought I would never graduate. In an attempt to avoid having to find a real job/further my career/live the life of a college kid I'm starting my Masters in August in Zoo Management. I'm pretty excited for it at this point.
Brian and I are doing awesome. There will be no wedding until we both finish our Masters so right now I'm enjoying being engaged/flipping though the dozens of wedding magazines that everyone is throwing at me. Were living in his one bedroom apartment with the rabbits right now but signed a lease yesterday for a 2 bedroom/2 bath apt that I CANNOT WAIT to move into. The one we are in now is waaaaaaay small and impossible to keep clean with the amount of stuff we have in it. Moving day is only 6 weeks away!
Last weekend we went to the coast (aka Lake Michigan) for our 3 year anniversary which seems unreal. It was a fun weekend tip that including a lot of wine tasting, laying on the beach, and eating good food.
I was a real bum when I first got back to Michigan and pretty much did nothing for the first 3 weeks I was home. Eventually my declining bank account got the best of me and I had to get up and find a job like all the other suckers out there. I'm working at PetSmart in pet specialty which is pretty sweet so far. I've only been there 2 weeks so I don't really know what I'm doing but playing with the critters keeps me happy.
I guess that's all I have. Brian and I are driving home to Sterling Heights when he gets home from work for his moms retirement dinner. I'm down for anything that involves a good meal and getting to dress up so I'm excited. I should go pack now...going home means getting to do laundry for free and I have a crap load of it around this apt. Ha.
