Another Hidden Blessing ?
On Tuesday I got a call from the woman at CDI who recruited me...
Paula told me that the hiring IBM manager could not get a purchase order to hire me.
But after feeling real sorry for myself for aboot half an hour and wondering why I can never catch a break, I wrote to Henry at SetFocus. After explaining the situation, I asked Henry when the regular 13 week, full time Master's Program begins, if there were any seats left, and if it were possible to slide into a seat.
Henry wrote back, and said that I wrote him just in time.
So, I am going to start the Full time Master's Program on Monday, March 29th, and it will run until June 23rd. I went down to SetFocus yesterday and FINALLY signed the training agreement. So I am now officially a SetFocus student.
It is my intention to graduate 1st in my class, and receive a job offer from SetFocus, since they are also a .NET consulting company. They are also hoping to set up an office in Manhattan by June, so just maybe I could work for them out of that office. I live two miles from the Metro North Train Station, so commuting would not be that bad of a deal.
Last night I was designated driver for some friends. We went to Mulligan's Irish pub. I used to hang out there alot. Can you believe they had Karaokee ??? Not a great night, but I did enjoy the fact that my friends were able to drink and get home safely.
