Wrestlemania XX

Last night I ordered Wrestlemania. At $49.95, it was not cheap, but I'd have to say it was worth it. Oh, I also taped it to my TiVo, for later transfer to DVD.

I thoroughly enjoy the campiness of pro wrestling. It is the ultimate in male soap opera. I do think it can get over the top, as in Kane "burying alive" his brother The Undertaker. I will say that I don't care much for the Smackdown brand of WWE; I prefer the RAW brand. The Smackdown brand contains too many characters that appeal to teens, methinks.

The Cruiserweight open was pretty exciting. Those dudes are true athletes in my book.

Most disappointing event... the evening gown match. It was way too short. The women are perhaps the most athletic wrestlers in WWE. Besides being HOT, they are fun to watch for their athletic ability.

It was surely a letdown when Evolution beat The Rock and Mick Foley. I also didn't like seeing John Cena beating Big Show. I just don't care for that whole hip-hop mentality that Cena embraces.

At 4 and one half hours, it was definitely a great evening of wrestling.
