Because I formed a wEDnsday night dinner group, I decided that wEDnsday mornings, I'm going to get up real early, head to the gym, and do my workout then, before going into work.
It's also going to be leg day, and leg workouts are nutrionally and physically draining when done right. So, do it in the morning right after breakfast, when I'm fresh.
Yesterday, my sugar was the lowest it's ever been in the morning since I started monitoring it (144 mg/dl). Today it was 188. I was pissed, but that anger gave me the motivation to do a good leg workout with the weights. I then did only one half hour of intense cardio after that, working out at the top of my target range; my legs are jello after a good leg workout. I normally try to do two hours of cardio a day. That puts my sugar in the 80-90 mg/dl range.
I feel really good this morning. The gym is kind of peaceful early in the morning.
I can't think why my sugar was so high this morning. It was 100 mg/dl when I left work last night. I saw a friend who thought I was mad at her, then when to Ruby Tuesday and had the salad bar and a low carb chicken wrap. I DID splurge and make some Jello no sugar/no fat chocolate pudding and ate some late last night. THat should't have done it... or did it ??? Oh well, I guess I'll have off days.
SPeaking of visiting the friend, I joked aboot how the friend won't be able to keep her hands off me after I become so "buff" ths summer. Her young daughter then said something like "My mom said you are too young for her, but I wouldn't mind having you as a daddy".
That made my night.
