So I have Brendan Benson's album, 'The Alternative To Love', and it's really rather good. I have to say that 'What I'm Looking For' is the best new song I've heard in ages in terms of getting inside my brain so that I just sing it all the time. Also, I've been persuaded to buy the new Weezer album, and I might buy The Arcade Fire as well.
Incidentally, the new Eels album is by a mile the best album they have made, and the best serious album I've heard for a while. There's such a good mix of songs, including lots of juvenilia, and some very serious and depressing stuff. I recommend it to anyone who wants to hear really well written songs.
