facts: they really have to be right
after reading fic whereby a character moves to singapore and turns the tap on to find brown water, i am mildly annoyed.
for one, our water system is, for lack of a better word, IMMACULATE. we may take our water system a little too seriously. but let it be known that if you have a stomach ache in singapore, it might be the food or flu, but definitely not in the water.
i mean i understand why people would make mistakes when writing about things they aren't really sure about - pls refer to the currently on hiatus mafia fic where there are too many guns and glaring inconsistencies. i make the same mistakes - but that water thing just annoyed me. if it were the drainage system i wouldn't mind, since our drainage system is not awesome. BUT OUR WATER SYSTEM IS!
