To a certain Anonymous GoldBunny...

You don't often see such long and thoughtful reviews on ff.net anymore.

Since the reviews don't show up for some people, and because it would not do proper justice to the effort put into this review--proper spelling, grammar, and even paragraph breaks--if I hid it behind a link or LJ cut, here it is, reproduced in full.

GoldBunny's review:

"Hahahaha! Oh, this is so funny I nearly wet myself.

So, it's okay for you to break the laws of biology for the sake of "warm and fluffy fanfiction" and "lulz", but if anyone DARES to defy the laws of canon- including unsuspecting thirteen year olds who are only just dipping their toes into the shark infested waters of fanfiction- and write anything that even vaguely clashes with Originshipping then they have no choice but to suffer the wrath of your self indulgent rants and arrogant, elitist whining and those of your fellow pack members? Do me a ** favor.

I don't have a problem with mpreg per se; what I do have a problem with is people who slit their emo wrists over people who disagree with their opinions over the interactions of video game characters but cheerfully ignore the rules of REAL LIFE.

I've seen your behavior on sites such as Deviant Art and Live Journal and it makes me sick to my stomach to think that I have the misfortune to be associated with the same fandom that you would align yourself with. Fortunately I am far more open minded and laid back about these things than you seem to be. I, and I'm sure the vast majority, have far more important things to worry about than the hypothetical relationships between fictional characters.

Hey, I'll admit that this fic is very well written, but I honestly cannot take anything you write seriously as long as this blatant butchery of the laws of science and REAL LIFE is okay, and anything that has has Steven and Wallace paired with anyone other than each other is deserving of derision and ridicule wherever you should choose to post links to it.

Get a grip of yourself and realize that this is NOT real, these characters do NOT exist and no matter how much you might try and convince yourself otherwise it will never be canon since there is no such thing as far as shipping goes in Pokemon; and even if GameFreak were to make such things official I sincerely doubt that relationships between two men would be top of their priority list.

So perhaps you might like to consider than before ** about how something is "disrespectful" to the source material. Has Satoshi Tajiri or the like ever come out and said that Steven and Wallace are having teh hawt man secks? No, I don't believe they have. So what gives you the right to dictate such things to others? Nothing. These characters belong to you no more than they do anyone else, and you do NOT have the monopoly on them, as much as you might like to convince yourself to the contrary."

Dear GoldBunny,

I was hoping to respond to you in a more personal manner because I'm honored that you would take the time to write such a long and literate review for the weakest and most rushed of my fics. However, since you insist on being humble and concealing your identity, I can only hope that you still frequent my LJ enough to see this. I've got anonymous commenting enabled and screened (which means no one except the original commenter and I will be able to read anonymous comments), so your modesty will not be endangered if you should choose to respond. At this point I'm still trying to get over how flattered your review made me feel, so I can only think of one question:

Where's the mpreg in my fic?

I'm asking this in complete seriousness. I read and reread my fic 3 times, carefully poring over every line and word to make absolutely sure you weren't mistaken, but I honestly couldn't find a single explicit mention of or unequivocal allusion to mpreg (which I'll take the risk of assuming is what you meant by "breaking the laws of biology/science/real life").

If you would be so kind as to let me know? I'm always looking for ways to improve my writing.

Sincerely,

TIP

P.S. I don't mind you bestowing any loving epithets upon me, but I'm not sure my "pack" shares my sentiments. They're all very unique and intelligent individuals, and I think they would appreciate being recognized as such, to which end the term "pack" does not appear to suffice.

public, anonymice welcome, hay goldbunny
