But, since he's here, he'll bend down to pick a bunch of the small woodland flowers that are blooming now, gathering them into a crude bouquet and tying it together with a blade of grass. Then, without looking at her, he'll walk to the edge of the lake and toss the flowers onto the water as well. It's no Morphus funereal bouquet, but the intent is the same.]
