Hmm... pondering...
I was reading this essay online -- http://www.merrycoz.org/papers/MARYSUE.HTM -- and I find myself wondering after reading it... is it possible to write a Mary Sue without making her obviously one? Or maybe the better question is can a writer write themselves into a story in some form without making him/her so blatantly "perfect"?
