Ever since Covid started in 2020, it was hard not seeing my mother. But after three long years, I finally got to see her on Mother's Day. Seattle and I went over there and hung out with her for about three hours. We talked about all sorts of stuff. Some good and some not so good. During Covid, my mom looked like she had difficulty talking. I asked her if she had a stroke, she said no, I don't go out to places anymore or hang around people, plus I don't drive as much as I used to. But after a couple of hours and her talking to us, it seemed that her voice and her speech were getting better. I showed her pictures of Maxwell and that seemed to put a smile on her face. Plus, it was nice to see one of her cats come out and greet us. His name is Jack after the movie Pirates of the Caribbean. After that, we hugged each other good bye and told each other we love you.
Other than that, this month I have been at The Fresh Market for seven years. Hard to believe, but I guess time flies. I've also seen a lot of changes since then, but I like what I do. We've hired a lot of new people which is nice, cause we needed some diversity in our store.
Besides work, I was sad that Jerry Springer died. My parents wouldn't let me watch him cause it was a dirty show. But now, when his show comes on the air, I sit back and enjoy the comedy.
