I am actually considering knitting socks for my children. I think I've lost my mind. I've always said that I wouldn't knit them socks because a). They will outgrow them too fast and b). they won't appreciate the amount of work involved BUT they would be a great, fast, simple, portable project. Think how fast I could knit up a pair of kid-sized socks! And I could pass them down, as they are all girls... But I'm looking at Lorna's Laces sock yarn, which I've been using pretty much exclusively because I love it. The colors are perfect. It's also expensive, do I want to spend $8.75 on yarn for a pair of socks for my kid? Times three? Am I nuts?
This always happens to me... I've got no sock yarn sitting in waiting to become socks. I've got some sitting around, oh yes, stash yarn, but that doesn't count. I'm about 1/4th of the way through with my current socks and I'm already trying to plan my next ones. Sock knitting is so addictive.
