I've pretty much only been knitting my Rogue for the past week or so. I'm about 55 rounds in, I've just joined the kangaroo pocket and it's looking great so far. I sewed up the bottom hem too, so that's all done. I didn't want to leave that until the end and it looked like crap hanging there like that, all twisted and icky. Now the bottom has a nice finished edge. I'm scared to weave in the sewn ends, however, just in case it doesn't hang right once it's finished. I love this project because the cables are interesting and look great, yet there's significant stockinette portions where I can zone out and not pay attention to what I'm doing. The only downside is that the Bartlett yarn is SO rustic and it's somewhat rough on my fingers. I need to take frequent breaks or my fingers/hands start to hurt.
I haven't touched my River stole much in the past week. I'm only about 3 repeats in. I haven't had much knitting time lately for something that requires that much concentration... I am VERY good at screwing up that pattern if I can't devote my full attention to it. The first half of the repeat doesn't give me much problem, but the second half, where the k2tog is before the yo screws me up because it takes me out of that automatic yo, k2tog rhythm.
The black purl socks are perhaps an inch away from the toe, so those are nearing completion. They're my mindless project. Next up are a pair of Wyvern socks, but I'll have to modify that pattern to match my gauge...
This week I picked up my severely neglected Manos cardigan. After deciding that the sleeve length will work, finished seaming it. Now it's just awaiting a button band and a collar. I *might* just throw on an attached i-cord and put in a zipper instead of buttons. I thought of leaving it without either but thought better of that lousy idea. I can't wait to be able to wear that sweater, my first sweater for *me*.
