Why are fics more enjoyable for some fandoms than for others? Is it the authors who are writing stories? Is it the canon development of favorite characters? Or is it just the show?

I began reading fanfic when Lord of the Rings was still in theaters. I then moved onto Horatio Hornblower stories. Then I hit the motherload with SGA.

I am not usually a person who cries, but my friend and I went to the movies the other day and saw Letters to Juliet.  During the movie, I found myself crying...it was a wonderful movie by the way!
I started to think about other movies that I found myself sobbing like a baby over.

Aside from the happy SGA news yesterday, I have had lots of luck (knock on wood) with entertainment lately!
