Two posts in 2 days! It is like some sort of miracle! Don't worry, I won't be posting for the next 2 days...I have them off and no internet at home. Anywho! I decided to go shopping today! I was going to go tomorrow on my day off, but they are calling for nasty storms...the tail edges of the hurricanes hitting the East Coast. I know I live closer to the Great Lakes but we still get all rain. I figured if I went shopping today, I could enjoy all of my goodies tomorrow when I couldn't go outside.
My first stop was the comic book store where I bought oodles of titles! I can't wait to read them! I also bought clear plastic covers for the comics and a bunch of magazines I have at home already.
Speaking of magazines, I had a subscription to the Stargate magazine, but now the magazine is done. I still had a balance on my account and they said I could transfer it to another title, but none of them really interested me, so I asked if I could use the money to purchase back issues and I could! Yeah!!!
Also, speaking of Stargate, I was having a crap day earlier this week and decided to buy something to make me feel better, and I bought this...
I know it the gate from SG-1, but I am still excited...I really liked SG-1...not as much as Atlantis, but you know:)
Back to shopping, my next stop was to AC Moore to get some more yarn for the scarf I am working on. I will have to take a pic when it is done, but I went through a skein of yarn already, but it just isn't long enough. I also picked up a few photo albums...they hold 100 pics and were only $1.
Next was Borders. I wasn't going to stop, but really, it was a book store and I am me...I picked up the new Eureka (the Syfy show) novel. I will let you know what I think when I read it! I also picked up a bargain book on Meerkat Manor...lots of color photos of adorable meerkats...and I loved that show when it was on Animal Planet
Also speaking of books...amazon.com just sent me an e-mail that they mailed to of the newest SG-1 novels...Power Behind the Throne and Four Dragons. I will get them sometime next week!
My last stop of the day was Michael's. I got a piece for my Halloween village! It is a bridge with 8 gargoyles on it. I will have to save up to get the bigger pieces. They are quite expensive this year...even when they are on sale! I also picked up some artsy things to keep me busy...I will see what happens with them later.
Now I am at work, wishing I was at home getting to enjoy my new purchases...only 4 more hours!
Have a great weekend all!
