Honest, I Am Still Around

I would like to say that my lack of posting has something to do with my tremendously busy life, but I would be lying, and I like all of my wonderful readers too much to do that do you.  In all honestly, I just haven't been overly inspired to post as of late.  I am hoping today will be different...here we go...

I have found myself getting caught up on tv shows that I never watched when they originally aired...such as Twin Peaks and Northern Exposure...granted, it isn't like I had much of a choice in watching or not watching these shows, as I was under the age of 10 when they were on and neither were overly kid friendly.  I find myself loving Northern Exposure!  I reminds me alot of the small town that I grew up in.  Twin Peaks is intriguing, but not something I am running home after work to watch.

Season finales also took up lots of time...HATED the Bones finale...hopefully they can make up for it when the show returns in the fall.  The finale for Chuck was AWESOME!!!  I am thrilled it is coming back!  Lost...I cried...and cried...it was a wonderful end to a wonderful show!  I know there are other shows I watch, but those were the ones I felt the most strongly about.

Books, I have finally got back into reading several books a week.  For the longest time, I would take me weeks to read one book, but I must either be in the mood for reading, or finally found some wonderful books.  I loved the newest Oregon Files book from Clive Cussler and am eagerly awaiting The Spy!  Laurie Notaro's newest was lots of laughs.  I am currently reading the newest Jen Lancaster and Red Pyramid...the first in the new series by the author of the wonderful Percy Jackson series.

Movies...I finally saw Avatar.  I can't say it was the best movie I have ever seen, but it was also far from the worst I have ever seen.  I was watching it while we were having terrible thunderstorms.  The electric went out twice and I found myself debating whether or not to turn it back on.  I finally did just to say I saw it all.  I found it visually appealing, but the story wasn't all that original.  Oh well, thank goodness for Netflix.

House...I painted the back room, but need to get some more paint to finish it.  I didn't think I was going to paint the doorways, but I think I need to just to improve the look.  I planted lots of little flower seeds and green things have begun to grow already...YEAH!!!  The dogs have been driving me nuts, but that really isn't anything new and exciting:)

I think that is really all that has been going on lately.  Hopefully something more entertaining will pop up for me to write about...
