Mind of Dogs

Have you ever wondered what dogs are thinking of when they do most of the insane things that they do?  I was contemplating this today when my two trouble makers were sitting on my bed, looking at each other and barking.  Talk about annoying.  They were like one foot apart and just barking at each other.  Sometimes Ben the beagle would bark first.  A silence of several seconds would follow before Sirius the lab mix would retaliate with his own booming bark.  This continued back and forth for about twenty minutes before I almost lost my mind.  yelling at the top of my lungs to be heard over the barks, the two monsters looked at me for a moment, and then at the same time, began barking together and jumping on the bed.  Seriously annoying.  And people want me to have kids.  I can barely handle the two dogs I have now and they are supposed to be alot less work.
In less annoying news...I had to make a Wal-Mart run last evening and was pleasantly surprised and thrilled to see the new Julia Quinn book was out.  EXCITEMENT!  Her books are quick reads and always enjoyable.  It has actually been a few months since I read a good, trashy period piece novel.  They are such a weakness.  As weaknesses go, it could be worse.  Actually it is time for my break so I am off to begin the book.  I'll let you know how it is.

PS.  Today's entry is dedicated to Joseph Mallozzi, the man who inspired me to start my own blog.  Check out his blog at http://josephmallozzi.wordpress.com/
