Good morning all:

Yesterday was the nine month anniversary of my surgery.  Nine months ago today at about this time we were starting to talk about getting me up and about walking the halls and when they might  be sending me home.  Nine months ago tomorrow I was discharged from the hospital with more metal in and on my head than I ever thought possible.

I've been thinking a lot about teams lately.  Through this whole journey, I have been so thankful for my teams.  I have a team of family and friends who are right there cheering me on and praying for me and helping out whenever and however they can.  And I have two fabulous medical teams.  One here and one in Rochester   I didn't really chose any of my medical professionals - they were all sort of assigned in some back room rock, paper, scissors, thing that no one ever talks about -however I ended up with them all... I wouldn't bench a one.  From my surgeon to the LPN who takes my blood pressure every month they have all been terrific.  I have been blessed.  And the best part about being on my team?  We're going to win!

My visit with the doctor this week was good.  Nothing much to report.  Blood work is still good.  My next MRI will be in two months from now.  I start chemo round seven soon.

I hope that all is well with all of you.  This last round of winter weather wasn't something I was excited to see but this morning, the sun is shining and it looks like it is going to turn into a beautiful day.
