I should be working, but there isn't much to do. The payments have all been processed, the software has been packaged, everything (except for one random invoice sitting on my desk) has been filed... blah blah. Haven't updated in a while so figured I'd sit down and babble for a while.
Weekend was busy as per usual. YOSH Night In on Friday night went well, despite Matt not being present - actually he's not going to be there next fortnight either, so once again it will be the Cyndi+Mark show. Blah. Not that it's a show or anything, but yeah. You know what I mean. Mark led music, I did games and prayer, Mark did the devotion... more music... good times, even though the music sucked major butt. We just need a good practise beforehand, but that hasn't happened.
Courtney was up Friday night, and Saturday we went shopping in the morning and then went to our Camp Reunion in the afternoon. Shopping wasn't too exciting, however I managed to save money by not buying much... spent my BnT gift voucher on a cute, white, lacy number, and grabbed food for lunch, but that was it. We were lucky we were sitting down when Mark called to say he would be picking us up nearly a full half-hour before he had said he would. Courntey and I ate a quick lunch, grabbed our swimmers, and I packed Mark a lunch (because he had just come from footy and hadn't eaten) and then piled into the car with Mark and Tim.
We went out to Olympic Park and hung out in the park with some of the other Camp Leaders. We played a game of Bocce (is that how you spell it?) or our version, lol, and then ended up at
Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre, where they have a waterslide and a whirlpool thing and spas, which we enjoyed. Too bad the diving boards weren't open (after having gotten myself super excited over them days earlier) but the other fun things made up for the lack of divage.
Sunday morning was church as usual.
__stripped and all others who are affiliated with 'wogs' of some sort will laugh at this. After church I was talking to Mark+co's grandmother, Nonna, and she totally just like, out of the blue, grabs my chest and goes (in her nice european accent) "You are beautiful here," and then grabs my waist "but not so beautiful here. You need to stop eating all the cakes!" I nearly died, but I managed to laugh it off (and tell her that I was probably one of the only people in the building who hadn't eaten a slice of the cake that morning). Hello, I know I'm fat, I don't need to be told by 82 year old grandmothers of my friends in a sea of 80 people. Can someone teach me the trick of melting into the floor so I am invisible?
Lets just say that Courtney and I had a few laughs (+more) that afternoon AND last night AND this morning about how I was allowed to eat 2 lettuce leaves for lunch and one slice of beetroot for dinner. So yeah.
Last night I went to the recording of the next live
Hillsong album, which was kinda cool. We did sing the same song like 4 times but it was great to be in a place with so many people praising God. Oh, and getting to sing "We're gonna dance, dance, dance in the freedom we know..." and dancing with our arms in the air in the Sydney Entertainment Centre is just something else.
Anyways, another week is upon me, and praise God that Monday is nearly over! I look forward to the weekends from the moment I wake up on Monday morning.
