Pros: + Sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and take the money while you can... + Could you just agree to teach one course? That might let you have a little more downtime + Again... extra money comes in REALLY handy sometimes
Cons: - You live in Appleton, do you not? So having to drive back and forth everyday would mean a lot more gas usage, as well as wear and tear on your car. - That's a lot more hours teaching than you were doing before I think. I don't know what your work schedule looks like for summer, but that could be a little too much to take on.
Here's what I would do. Sit down a figure out just how many hours you would be working a week. Include in that band rehearsals, rowing, anything that would happen on a routine basis. Because once you get into the swing of things, even things like that will feel like work. So look at how many hours a week, you will not be able to just chill out and relax. Make sure you're okay with that. And look too at how much extra gas money you'll need to take on the extra mileage, and make sure it's worth it. Personally, I would probably just take on one of the extra classes. To give myself a little extra money, but also a little breathing room so my schedule is not completely packed everyday. But those are just my thoughts.
