I was feeling all virtuous because I'd written a nice chatty update about our Tenerife trip yesterday evening and then the internet connection went down and it got swallowed! It's a long time since I've had that happen! Ah well. The long and short of it was that it's been a really lovely trip and I have been very much confirmed in my opinion that winter sun is a thing that really does have a fantastic effect on me. Alex and I were discussing last night whether this means that I should consider investing in some sort of lighting rig for the winter months - I find it hard to distinguish what's about light and what's the effect of the heat/warmth of it.
Anyway. We have had a really lovely trip and my note to self was (a) winter sun = good and (b) giving yourself a day off between school and departure to get things sorted out without getting super stressed is good. I now need to go and do my internet grocery order. It's simultaneously very handy that you can do that so that it arrives the day after we get back and annoying because I don't want to do the chore of sorting out the shopping list right now, but can't be helped.
