(no subject)
Okay, I'm having a hard time admitting this, but I think I really like Rush. They are just an awesome band. I've always thought of them as really geeky... but you know what, they sort of fucking rock.
I ended 2008 by selling my crazy metal guitar to some crazy one-eyed redneck from Howell. I'm planning on buying a Gibson or Ephiphone, something classic. I really like Les Pauls but they are pretty heavy guitars. (Weight-wise) So I think I'm going to go to guitar stores and play around with whatever they have in stock and see what I like. Andrew and I are starting a band. Just for fun. I'm excited to play with a good drummer, and maybe we can find a bassist sometime. Maybe we'll even play out!
Overall, I'm just trying to get a fresh perspective on a few things. Creativity, happiness, life.. I dont know. I'm starting out by learning some new stuff on guitar just for fun. I have to add in the 'fun' part because Tony never really taught you how to have fun. It was like.. HAVE YOU LEARNED E PHRYGIAN MODE YET??!?!? You're DOOMED if you haven't!!!! .... So far I've learned under the bridge by red hot chili peppers and i"m starting spirit of radio by rush..
