"I think who we are is in what we stand up for."

I was very satisfied with the Da Vinci Code in film form. I didn't think that Hollywood could do the book justice but, surprisingly, it did...maybe even more so. I appreciated the small details considered (ie the french banker who spoke english oddly well, the hints in all the historical flash backs, ect...). Tom Hanks (who I thought was extremely wrong for Robert Langdon) turned out to be great at the part! I was impressed. Some of the facts were a bit twisted in the "Magdalene story" so I guess I can see why it has caused so much (MORE) outrage...but I would like to take this opportunity to point out that this story is sold in the Fiction section. You know, fiction? Like magical elves and flying carpets? Hmmmm.....

Opus Dei scares me...some do still use those forms of self-mutilation...And to live in houses with members only and not be able to visit with family? Insane! And of course the woman's job is to cook and clean for the whole group...how degrading.
