"The city is so diverting"
WOW! I never thought we would actually leave the house! I should become a lawyer because I have mad persuasive skills. Or a travel agent. Or a lawyer who works for a traveling agency. The possibilities are endless! Mwahaha!
Let me sum up my amazing trip:
On my birthday: We arrived in New York. Our hotel room was awesome, we had an amazing view of Manhattan from across the Hudson. We went over to the city by farie and walked to ground zero. It was heart-wrenchingly sad. We saw the old supports and the subway systems form the original building. Then we made our way to Time Square. It was breathtaking! I've never seem anything like it! London seems so tame compared to it! We ate at the Planet Hollywood there. Imagine me: Movie Freak, in a place like that for my birthday dinner. We sat next to a Titanic display! I was sung to by the entire restaurant and my dad requested and dedicated a song/music video form them to play over the forty-some plasma TVs around the eating area. Oh, and whilst returning form the restroom, I saw Johnny's picture on the wall of stars who had been there. I nearly died. Then we went shopping around the area for a bit. I quickly realized how expensive city life is. I found a vintage clothing store, saw that they were selling tank tops for $100 a pop then ran quickly out of it.
We went to the top of the Empire State Building at night. I was amazed still further. The city lights are SO intoxicating.
So, my birthday was nothing short of perfect (except for the fact that we got lost on our way to the bus terminal and had crack heads help us find it [at midnight!]. Broadway is a frightening place at night.)
Hmmm 15th=London 16h=NYC...it's going to be hard to top this years...Venice?
The Next Day: Me and me Mum had coffee in the park. It was cute. We went window shopping around Union Square and 5th Avenue. I then decided that I wanted to live in Manhattan. In the Diamond District. HA. Eventually. Across from Central Park.
Then my Dad freaked and had to get out of the city...so we did. Thus concludes my New York Experience.
I love the city. Most ardently as some would say. Seriously considering going to college there. Seriously considering living there.
