WOW long time, SO much has happened. Let me see if I can get all the major things:
1. I GOT MY LICENSE! On Tuesday, Jan. 24 I took my test and passed easily. =D I was so nervous, but the guy testing me was so cool. At the end, he was like: Why are you so nervous? You're too little to give yourself a heart attack! LOL I was like: You should see me with everything else. Anyway driving is going very well. I love my car now, and I love the gas mileage I get. Yesterday I filled up my entire tank for $20 after driving around on it for 2 weeks. My dad filled his truck up for $45. =P I still can't believe I drive, I am definitely way too little for it.
2. I got my first C ever on my report card.. Yup in Pre-calc. I was getting an 83, then I failed one test that counted as 1/3 of my grade and my average dropped to a 76, but Mrs. Kielblock gave me a 78 on my report card. =/ It's okay. All of my other grades were pretty awesome, I got an 88 in English and the rest were straight A's. (and i got 3 97's and a 98!) lol usually I don't get excited or upset over grades but for some reason this marking period is different.
3. Second marking period is over along with midterms. It hasn't registered yet that so much of this year is over. I'm trying to make it go by slowly because I realized how different it will be not seeing certain people in the hallways next year (cough BRIAN and many others) lol and I get really sad and confused thinking about it. *sigh* so I try not to think about it.
4. DANCE COMPETITION! I had a lot of fun. It all started last Friday when I was trying to get ready and had a crying fit because of many reasons: I wasn't ready, I wasn't packed, I couldn't get my false eyelashes on, etc. etc. I got 4 count them FOUR hours of sleep that night, got up at 5:00 the next morning, picked up Kara, met Gina S, Brianna, Dana and Chelsea at the Bagle Pantry and me and Kara followed them to the Medowlands. That was my first longest carride but I did really good. Then classes started at 8:00, we took Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Lyrical, Hip Hop, and more Jazz from 6 of the most famous dancers in this country including Brian Friedman (he's awesome and has a tv show). They were hard and a lot of girls (we shared a ballroom with 170+ other dancers) were pushy and nasty, so we were pushy and nasty back and we had so much fun. THEN the fire alarm went off during our last class at about 2:30. We all went outside, freezing cold in the rain and wind, about 45 minutes before we had to be downstairs and ready for the competition. Me and Gina took the whole company in our 2 cars and finally they let us back inside at like 3:15. I shared a room with Gina, on the freakin 19th floor so we ran upstairs and rushed to get ready, and somehow managed to get back down by 3:50. The comp. started, I was in 5 dances: I GO TO RIO (teen production) I NEED A HERO (senior jazz duo- me and lauren) NATURAL WOMAN (senior small group lyrical) DAUGHTERS (sr. large lyrical) and THIEVES IN THE TEMPLE (sr. small jazz).. They all were AWESOME. Performing a duo in front of all those people was the craziest thing I have ever done, but afterwards I loved it! I want to do it again! Then awards were at 9:45- we won a gold for natural woman and high silvers for the rest. It technically should have been a platinum and the rest gold but they scaled the awards differently this year. Then we went up to our room and me and Gina showered, and talked about like everything and then COLLAPSED i was so tired. The next morning had to be up at 7 again for more classes and I did an audition for a scholarship with a few other girls from my studio with about 170 dancers, Gina made the top 20!! After that me and Gina sat in the parking lot waiting for Kara and then I drove her home and we stayed out for a little. Whew that was long thanks for reading if you did. I really miss that weekend. =( i can't wait to have another one.
5. I'm back to winterguard. Ohhhhh I don't know. I'm only going to be at like half the practices and be in like 30 seconds of the show but at least I am doing it, right? eh =/
6. Dance hasn't let up. 14 hours a week.. and in between there I have winterguard, and I started volunteering at Muhlenberg Hospital on my mom's floor in January. I'm good at handling it all. For now..
OKAY I will see you guys sometime.. adios my friends
