Character Info
Character Name: Viola
Series: Kiddy Grade
Character Age and Gender: Female. Physically Viola is nine years old but her chronological age is far older.
Character Personality: Although she is actually much older, Viola is as precocious and child-like as her physical age suggests she is. She is on friendly terms with all of her fellow ES members and has little nicknames for everyone; "Lumi" for Lumiere and "Clary" for Eclair, for example. When she is upset she cries or sulks like a little girl. Her enemies are commonly called "meanies", and Viola isn't above taunting or making faces at them if she feels like it. Like most little girls Viola has a stuffed animal, in this case a dragon called "Dragon Papi". Dragon Papi remains mainly on the Fenice, where Viola either wears him on her head or uses him as a seat rather than sitting in the co-pilot's chair.

GU Auditor Armbrust once described Viola as a "little chatterbox", and no description could be more accurate. Viola does all of the talking in her partnership with Cesario, who usually communicates through body language or by whispering in Viola's ear; he won't even speak out loud to Viola when the two of them are alone. Because Cesario is so quiet Viola tends to bulldoze over him at times, overriding his wishes in favor of her own. Never is this more obvious when it comes to Viola's favorite pastime: eating out at restaurants.

One of Viola's most notable quirks is her method of settling debts: anyone who owes her and Cesario anything is expected to pay them back by taking them out to eat. For example, when Viola encountered Lumiere after the latter's attack on GOTT headquarters she gave Lumiere two ways to make things up to her - by treating Viola and Cesario to one million dinners or three million lunches. This is where Viola's tendency to bulldoze over Cesario comes into play, because she likes Italian food while Cesario likes Chinese. No matter how much Cesario protests or tries to persuade her otherwise Viola will make sure that they go out for Italian.

But beneath her childlike demeanor and her love for Italian food Viola is as dedicated a GOTT agent as any of her fellow ES members. She takes every mission that she and Cesario are given seriously, even if she tends to act more like she's playing a game of some kind. Viola doesn't take kindly to threats to the galaxy even if said threat is coming from someone who is supposed to be an ally, and especially if one of her friends or her partner is hurt.

Brief History: Viola comes from the planet Aineias in Star Century year 0328 in the far future, when humanity has expanded its reach beyond Earth out into the realm of space, exploring and settling planets across the galaxy far and wide. The richest and most powerful social class in the galaxy is the Nouvlesse, the direct descendents of people originally born on Earth. The wealthy Nouvlesse commonly look down their noses at the commoners and hold extreme prejudices against them, to the point where they would willingly isolate themselves to keep from being "infected". It is the purpose of the Galactic Organization of Trade and Tariffs, or GOTT, to ensure that the galactic economy remains stable.

When something dire threatens the economy then it is the job of the Ecounter of Shadow-work, or ES, division to straighten it out. The ES division is made up of twelve young people that possess special abilities. Viola is one of these ES workers. While physically she appears to be nine years old Viola is actually much older than that. Her body has been enhanced with nanomachines that grant her special abilities and a practically infinite lifespan. Much of Viola's life was spent being sent out on missions for the GOTT with her partner Cesario, a quiet young man who was physically twice her age. Their ship was called the Fenice, and their guard bot was dubbed Titano.

For one such mission Viola and Cesario were asked by Eclipse, the director of the GOTT, to secretly follow their fellow ES workers Eclair and Lumiere as they helped a young boy named Tim Constance claim his inheritance as the new head of a powerful Nouvlesse financial corporation. Eclipse feared that Tim could be a target for assassins because he had been raised as a commoner. Eclipse's fears were confirmed as Viola and Cesario ended up thwarting not one but two attempts on Tim's life.

A few weeks after the Tim Constance mission Viola found her friendship with Eclair and Lumiere put to the test. The pair launched an attack on GOTT headquarters after being expelled from the ES for disobeying orders during a mission. Viola and Cesario pursued Lumiere through the lower levels of the building, trying to contain her with nanomist shields, but they were unable to apprehend her. When Lumiere triggered an explosion Viola only managed to escape thanks to Cesario, who jumped out of a window with her to safety and was severely injured in the process.

Viola was off-duty for several days as Cesario recovered in the hospital. By the time the two of them were able to return to active duty Eclair and Lumiere had been reinstated as full ES members, for exposing a plot by two other ES members Alv and Dvergr to take over the GOTT and get revenge against the Nouvlesse.

But Alv and Dvergr's thirst for revenge was not sated; they took control of the Atlas-class star ship Deucalion after helping Chevalier d'Autriche steal it to uncover the Nouvlesse's plan to escape the galaxy in the Deucalion, leaving the galactic economy to collapse behind them. An accident resulted in Alv literally becoming one with the ship and she decided to use her new body to destroy the Earth. All remaining ES members, including Viola, were called in to stop her. After a long space battle the ES was finally able to get the upper hand: while Eclair and Lumiere kept the Deucalion's left side - Alv's weak point - pinned, the other ES ships bombarded the Deucalion with laser blasts and missile salvos until it could take no more punishment. The Deucalion broke apart, leaving Alv trapped inside of the ship as it drifted toward its final resting place in the sun.

After the Deucalion incident life returned to normal. An investigation into the building of and purpose for the Deucalion was started. The common people began to gain an even political footing with the Nouvlesse, thanks in large part to the influence of the Rosenfeld Foundation and Tim Constance, eventually leading to their being allowed into the GU Senate. And business at the GOTT proceeded as usual, especially for members of the ES Division.

Begin Kingdom Hearts:

Life on Aineias and throughout the rest of the galaxy was relatively peaceful for about a year after the Deucalion incident. Then the heartless began to invade. The ES division was at a loss at how to deal with the strange little creatures as they were resilient to conventional weapons to say nothing of the ES agents' diverse special powers.

A few short days after the beginning of the shadow sightings there was one near a local school, and Viola and Cesario were sent by Eclipse to go deal with it and protect the students. The two of them did what they could to make sure that everyone was evacuated safely while keeping the shadowy beings at bay. But then one of the heartless broke from the group and attacked the two ES members. Viola could only watch, horrified, as it pounced on Cesario and took his heart.

After killing Cesario the heartless turned its sights on a nearby student. Viola put herself between the creature and child so that he would have time to get away, and was surprised when a giant key made out of flowers appeared in front of her. Operating by instinct she took the key and used it to destroy the shadow.

As Viola tried to process what had happened an unfamiliar redheaded woman appeared out of nowhere. Brandishing a similar key she efficiently dispatched the remaining shadows. Once the battle was finished she introduced herself as Rita Morido, a Master with an organization called the Keyblade Order.

Viola escorted Rita to GOTT headquarters so that she could be present during the debrief with Eclipse. Rita explained to Eclipse about the Keyblade Order and offered to take Viola to its headquarters in Disney Town, so that she could learn to use her own keyblade properly. Eclipse took some time to deliberate on this before finally agreeing to let Viola go. After saying goodbye to her fellow ES members Viola accompanied Rita back to Disney Town to begin her training as a Keyblade student.

Affiliation: Keyblade Order

Initial World area: Neutral

Usefulness: N/A

Rank: New Student

Special Powers: Viola's special power, granted to her by nanomachines, is called "Calamity". It allows her to disperse matter on a molecular level, dissolving or disintegrating it. While it may sound very powerful Viola's ability is only ranked at C-Class, which is the lowest power level an ES member can have. The reason for this is the fact that Viola's Calamity power only works when she is in physical contact with Cesario, because it requires a lot of energy and has to be sustained by Cesario's own "Driver" ability. Without Cesario's ability. or a substitute power source of some sort, Viola will not be able to use Calamity.

The nanomachines that make Viola an ES GOTT member could be considered a power in an of themselves because of the very fact that they have stopped Viola's physical aging, although she is by no means invulnerable. These nanomachines also enable Viola to conjure up nanomist barriers, usually to protect from minor things like rain.

Other Skills: Viola is skilled in piloting spacecraft, as she usually helps Cesario pilot the Fenice or their guard robot Titano.

Keyblade: Pixie Petal

Reason for having a keyblade: Viola has a strong heart and will, and won't hesitate to protect others if they are in danger.

Supplement Sample (in case testrun_box doesn't pan out):

Viola sighed to herself as she walked through the market of Disney Town. Rita had sent her out to explore for a little bit after they had arrived, before they were supposed to meet with the head of the Order. But to tell the truth Viola didn't feel much like exploring at the moment - even if Rita had said that there was a really good Italian restaurant here.

Being here without Cesario was weird enough, but knowing that he wouldn't be coming back made it worse. Part of her even wondered if that was part of the reason that Eclipse allowed her to come here; obviously Viola couldn't be an effective GOTT ES member on her own.

"I guess I'm just going to have to get used to it," Viola said to herself out loud. She paused for a minute and looked up at the sky. Somewhere out there was her home, Aineias. Lumi, Clary and everyone else she cared about was still there, and they were all counting on her to get the hang of this keyblade thing so that what happened to Cesario wouldn't happen to anybody else.

She wasn't about to let them down.
