For some crazy reason I've decided to take a class this semester. I was going to take a sewing class at City but it is closed so I am going to wait until the fall when I will have a higher priority registration. I searched through all the classes offered earlier on M/W/F and found an Astronomy class offered Friday mornings from 9:00 to 12:05. I've never taken an Astronomy class-basically the only science and math classes I needed for my BA in Humanities were basic general education classes. I took Statistics for my math requirements and then an Earth Sciences class or two. I really have no need to take this Astronomy class but I think it will be interesting and somehow I can never be out of school for too long-even though I can be a pretty horrible student at times. I always do my homework and assignments, I just tend to have a problem with attendance. Hence the reason no more night classes. After a day of work or a day at home the last thing I want to do is go to class.
I don't have the time or money to pursue Graduate school, so I will probably just take a class here or there at City until I figure out what to do with my life and/or get a job that precludes me taking a class during the day. I have a secret desire to take a Biology class and maybe French-I took three years in high school and would love to go to french portions of Canada some day :D
I have been told I should start re-applying for State jobs as the hiring freezes may be ending now that Brown is in office. I still don't know how I feel about that idea. I probably should go for it, as I'm not really going to go anywhere at Evangeline's (though I may still try to work there for a while even if I were to land a State job).
