He picked it up, eyes going wide when the bundle came alive on his arms, moving it's little arms and making those gurgling noises again.
He turned around still carrying it, too stunned to say anything and almost bumped right into Jin, who had somehow gotten up and appeared right behind him.
"So...you call tiny people 'nothing' now?", he asked in an amused tone, weirdly not even a little bit surprised by the fact that there was a baby on his lover's arms.
"No...I...I mean...", Kame struggled to find words but Jin ignored his stuttering, picking the little bundle up on his arms and lovingly placing a hand on the back of the baby's head, like he had done so a million times before.
"So, you've finally arrived" he whispered inside one tiny ear, and the baby made one of those intelligible baby sounds they always make in commercials. Kame thoguht it sounded like it was happy to be in Jin's arms.
"Ne Kame, let's call it 'Tiara'", he said, and Kame wanted to shout that he had gone insane, because it was not possible that Jin was accepting the fact that a baby had suddenly appeared on their balcony one day that easilly.
"How do you know it's a girl?", he heard himself say instead.
"Oh, I just know it", he said with a knowing smile, "If you have no qualms, Tiara it is then."
And now, two days later, baby Tiara was in his arms, laughing at the faces of both Junno and Maru while his lover and Koki still fought over who could come up with the most stupid baby names.
"Call her Angelina then", Koki suggested, having ran out of synonyms for things you could put in your head.
"Angelina is actually not that bad..." Jin pondered while tapping his chin.
"No", Kame interjected, "her name is Tiara, and that's final" he said resolutely, and all the others looked at him a bit surprised by how strongly he seemed to feel over the matter. He felt sudden heat in his cheeks , and then the flush spread to his entire face when he caught Jin's eyes on him and the girl, a soft smile gracing his lips at the sight.
"Tiara Akanishi Kamenashi", Jin said, like he had been practicing how the name would sound on his tongue.
Like he had wished for it.
Kame wondered...but his thougths were abruptly stopped.
"That's the dumbest name EVER", Koki groaned, rolling his eyes.
"Shut up", both Kame and Jin said in unison.
Little Tiara squeed.
