Kame wants a lot of things; success, fame, and people to share them with. Or person. Jin seems to be comfortable in this role, coming over (practically) unannounced ("Jin," Kame tries to explain as Jin shows up at his doorstep while Kame is dressed in baggy houseclothing and his apartment is a mess, "texting me a minute before you arrive is not advance notice.") to watch Kame's dramas with him and laughs at the appropriate parts ("Are you-" Kame starts, reaching for the tissue box during a particularly touching moment in the episode while Jin vehemently replies "NO" and subtly rubs his eyes. "Shut up.")
He wants to be independent, wants to be the mature one of KAT-TUN (which isn't that hard, actually, although Ueda sometimes contends with him for the position only because Ueda's outbursts of randomness are limited to every now and then instead of AT-TN's every day). But everytime Jin says something like "Oh, yeah, I saw your shoot in - Popolo...? I like that shirt," and smiles, Kame's insecure side wins out and even though Kame doesn't need Jin's approval, he. He wants it.
So one day when Jin says "Hey, your ring in Potato was really cool-" Kame hands it to him (he bought all the accessories and outfits from his recent shoots and waited it out) and tells Jin he wants to go out. With Jin.
Jin gawks at him for an exceedingly long time, long after Kame says, "Great, let's do karaoke tonight," and walks off, hands shaking and and palms sweaty. Kame doesn't always get what he wants, but Jin shows up that night looking nervous and happy and getting that is enough.

It's super different from the other fics you wrote for this meme - hdaisdh and there were many of those how are you so amazing ,Raz? djajopadsojp ♥ - and yet there's something in it that just scream 'Raz' (for me , that is. Must be the " Ueda's outbursts of randomness are limited to every now and then instead of AT-TN's every day" kinda humor ;D)
Really really really lovely. You made me happy by writing for this prompt (I told you , you should ;D)
