Okay, I'm sorry, but I've been stalking this meme and the previous one and when I read that prompt, I spazzed a lot because of how cute that sounded to me. I couldn't resist attempting something to it, especially because nobody else did (though I'm sure someone else could do it better justice).
---
It started out as any normal cake-buying experience. Akanishi Jin had just recently moved to a slightly larger apartment, and in celebration of this he decided to try out the quaint looking bakery that was a mere minute walk down the street. It was already late by the time he mustered himself up and out of his unpacking daze, and as Jin walked down the steps and through the door with a bell announcing his arrival, a voice came from the back.

"I'm sorry, but we're closing!"

Jin walked up to the display, admiring the assortment of personal pastries. He trailed a finger as he sauntered accross the case, finally stopping at a rather simple looking, star-shaped chocolate cake. The fudge drizzled over the top, in different kinds of chocolate, and the small strawberry that adorned it had him drooling.

But not as much as when the man who had spoken earlier walked to the front of the store, a small frown of confusion on his face as he stared at Jin.

Suddenly, Jin wanted him a lot more then he wanted that cake.

"I'm sorry, but I told you-we're closed. Could you come back tomorrow?"

Jin stood up, not breaking eye contact with the stranger. His gaze swept down and back up, taking in everything that is...whoever he is. Whoever-he-is is definately more delectible then his cakes. Whoever-he-is is looking really good in that all-white baker's outfit. Whoever-he-is would look even better out of it, brown hair loose from the hat, small waist free from the apron, lean body under...Jin abruptly put his hand out. "Akanishi Jin."

Slightly baffled, the worker allowed his hand to be enveloped. "Kamenashi Kazuya..." he trailed off.

"Listen, Kame-may I call you Kame?-I just moved in down the street here, and I really wanted to celebrate my successful move with something delicious." Nevermind that Kamenashi would taste sweeter then anything in this store. "Is there any way I could pay for just one cake? You can even keep the change." Jin's voice went from reasoning to husky, and his dear new aquantince seemed to notice.

Kame glanced at the other before sighing, finally removing his forgotten hand from Jin's grasp. "Hold on a minute..." and with that, he dissappeared into the back. Jin wanted to whistle at the view he got of the man's backside in the tight white pants, but he assumed the sexual harrassment wouldn't be appreciated. Yet. He returned shortly, placing something on the counter. Jin finally tore his gaze from Kamenashi's face to look at it. "It was...kind of a screw-up, visually. It became lopsided when I was trimming it, but I didn't have the heart to just throw it out, so I went ahead and glazed it. It's simple and ugly, but..."

He looked up from his flurry of an explanation to see Jin admiring the cake as if it was an award-winning dessert. "You can just take it."

Jin quirked an eyebrow. "What?"

A rather red-faced Kamenashi put the cake gently into a box and then a bag, which he tied in a careful bow, before handing it to Jin. "I said we're closed, so just take the rejected cake. I promise it'll taste as good as any of the others, I was just...experimenting." With that, he turned quickly and retreated to, presumably, the kitchen.

As he opened the door, the tingle of the bell signaled his exit, and Kamenashi's voice came from the back. "Thank you, come again!" Even though Jin had been there past hours, he sensed no annoyance in the voice. In fact, if he could be allowed to assume, Jin thought he heard some emphasis on that "come again" part. And as Jin walked back to his apartment, let himself in, sat himself down, and opened the box to see the heart-shaped cake one more time before he devoured it, he decided that yes, he would go again. Again and again.

Jin smiled as he put his fork into the cake, taking off the "K" of where Kamenashi had quickly scrawled his name in glaze. Now if only Jin could think of more reasons to buy a cake everyday...

It has been two weeks, two very short weeks, since Jin started his cake addiction. Every night, minutes before closing, he would enter Kamenashi's bakery. Every night, Kamenashi would produce another slightly deformed cake with a different message iced on the top. Every night, Jin would induldge himself. Every night, he would return.

This night is different.

As soon as Jin walked through the door, his grin faded. Something is different. Kame usually waited for him at the front, but he wasn't there. "Kame?" Jin called, tentively, stepping behind the counter. "Kazuya?" he dared, before boldly going through the swinging door to the kitchen, where he found the very person he was looking for, slumped on the floor. Jin rushed to him, kneeled down, and shook his shoulders. "Kame!" A red, tear-streaked face met his. "What happened?"

Kame shook his head and wrapped his arms around his shoulders. "The-the other guy that had trained with me owns a shop on the other side of the city. He came here, in the middle of the day, when I had customers, and he-he just started slandering everything!" His voice was exasperated, confused. "He asked to see one of the cakes, and then he threw it at me, saying how it was a disgrace to sell, and-and he just went on a rampage about how much everything I made didn't deserve to be sold to...to anyone! About how everything was second-rate, and flavorless, and how everyone should go to his top-rated store because this hellhole can't make more then dog food..." His voice trailed off, hurt evident, and Jin could see him holding back more tears.

"Then I'm a dog." Before Kame could through him a rather baffled look, Jin enveloped the small boy in a hug. "Your cakes aren't the only reason I come here every night, as I'm sure you know, but to hell with it. I love your cakes. They're the best damn cakes I've ever eaten. Every night, when I walk home, I can't wait to taste your newest creation. Fuck, I've gained five pounds since I moved here because I can't stop once I open that box."

There was a muffled response, so Jin let his arms drop to Kame's waist. He didn't seem to mind, as his own hands were twisting behind Jin's head. "I can't have that," the younger one mused. "I should develop a low-cal recipe...or low carb? Do you work out?"

Jin laughed. "Clever way to disguise that question." Kame smiled as Jin wiped away a tear.

"Aww, maybe my cakes made you gain some intelligence..."

"Hey! I might harrass you, but that's no reason to doubt my brainpower," Jin huffed.

"...I never said I minded." Jin gave one glance to an extremely red Kamenashi before a package of flour hit his face, sending the white dust everywhere. When it settled, when they both stopped laughing, they were covered in white.

"You've got a little something there," Kame teased, using his index finger to wipe Jin's nose.

"Yeah, well you've got a little something here." With that, Kame had his back on the flour-encrusted floor, and had his lips pressed firmly against Jin's. The kiss deepened, and Kame gasped for air.

"Where else do I have something?"

I'm kind of a lot of an akame closet fan...:'D Which explains my anon post. Plus, none of you know me/I know you, so I hope you don't mind me randomly invading your space. Found it via somebody else's recommendation, and well...what else can I say? -flee-

Part 3 (only continued because I was begged and lj was down) anonymous July 15 2008, 05:35:29 UTC
The next morning, Jin didn't wake up in his bed. He didn't wake up to the smell of his coffee maker starting. He didn't wake up to his alarm clock playing the radio.

He woke up in Kame's bed, above the bakery. He woke up to the smell of something much more delicious then coffee. He woke up to the sound of water running, dishes clanking, and food cooking. This difference was enough to jolt Jin from the bed, stumbling into the small upstairs kitchen, where Kame was flipping a pancake onto a plate.

"Just in time~" Jin sat down, groggy and confused, as Kame pushed the plate in front of him. "Pancakes. I have to go down and start working now. Make yourself at home."

Jin noticed the way he avoided eye contact, and before Kame could flee down the staircase, Jin's arm wrapped around his small waist. "Aww, are you sure there's no time for a repeat of last night?" he purred.

Kame quickly shoved himself out of Jin's grasp, promptly running down the stairs. "No!" he shouted from below, earning a chuckle from Jin.

"Pancakes...how typical."

After breakfast, Jin decided to see his little baker at work. Instead of furiously working some dough, though, Jin found him to be flipping through books, jotting down an occasional note. Kame's eyebrows were pushed together in concentration, and the way he chewed on his bottom lip and would slowly lick it with his tongue made Jin groan loud enough to draw attention. "What are you doing?" Jin was quick to cover up.

"Looking for a new recipe." He flipped the page. "What's your favorite kind of cake?" At the lack of response, Kame decided for him. "Well, I'm just going to say chocolate. It's what I first gave you..." He continued to hum some unknown tune, looking through a few more pages, before leaning over the counter and making a final outline for the new cake.

Jin, meanwhile, enjoyed the view. Still in those white pants that, to him, looked just too tight, like they needed to come off. Just as his hands reached the top of the rather in-the-way piece of clothing, Kame straightened, turned around, and shoved Jin out of the kitchen. "I need to work, and you need to go home and clean yourself up! Go to the gym...or something." He emerged from the door, staring, flustered, at a Jin that refused to move. "Please? This is a surprise! It won't even be a reject cake this time..."

Only because of Kame's pleading-Oh how he wanted him to plead for other things-did Jin finally leave. He returned, as always, minutes before closing, and found Kame sitting at the small table. In his tight white pants. And nothing else. Jin licked his lips.

Kame smiled, pushing a very decorated cake in front of Jin. "Surprise!" He looked down. On a pretty blue plate sat a little round cake, frosted two thirds of the way down in a very smooth looking icing. A light brown drizzle was atop that, and poking from the top center was a red rose. "The rose took some time, but I think I finally got it right. It's a little harder then the daisy I usually do..." Kame trailed off, looking at Jin's face expectantly. "Try it?"

Jin took the little fork he was offered and delved into the sweet substance. He moaned, and promptly began to eat away at the cake until it was three fourths gone. Suddenly, Kame had the fork in his face. "Taste it, master pastry chef," Jin demanded.

Kame giggled, closing his mouth around the fork. "Mmm," he moaned, pressing his lips together around the fork. "I did do a pretty good job, huh?" Kame took the fork. His tongue darted out to the prongs, and he began to lick it clean, eyes closed in thought. Jin grabbed his hand, and Kame yelped in surprise, dropping the fork. He looked up. "Was it not good enough? I told you I'd try to develop a low-cal recipe, so-" he was suddenly cut off when Jin replaced the empty space in front of his mouth with lips. Kame could taste the cake when Jin slid his tongue in.
[slightly longer then intended, so replying with the final bit. ♥]

"It was plenty good enough," Jin whispered, lips traveling to Kame's right ear. It took only a few whispers of the things Jin wanted to do this morning for Kame to roll his head back, exposing the neck that Jin was so anxious to descend on. While busy at the neck, his left hand reached to the almost finished cake, swiping some frosting from the side. He trailed the messy hand down Kame's neck, to his chest, and had just enough frosting to make it from one nipple to his belly button.

"Jin, frosting goes on cakes, not peo-ah!" Kame let out a throaty breath when Jin's mouth began to travel down the frosting trail. "Unh-unless you want-ah-want to do tha-at..."

Jin snickered, going back up to meet Kame's face. "That cake tasted delicious, but..." Jin grabbed his sticky partner by the waist and began to move towards the back. " You taste a lot better."

And with that, Kamenashi could deny it no longer. He completely and utterly agreed.

You're lovely. This is lovely. I love how Kame is so enthusiastic about his work and how Jin literally stalks him at work and the frosting with Kame protesting and nnngh.

Thank you for this! :)
