Hana Yori Dango 2, Episode 5 Recap
I have two things to say before I start the recap.
1) Oh, Tsukasa, I have missed you! I'm so glad you're back... You ARE back, right? Please tell me you are.
2) Sorry this is late. I didn't MEAN to be late... But a combination of lazy/exhaustion/school got in the way. Also? 5 less pictures or so less than usual... That means a whole lot more talking. XP So... enjoy the rambling.
Previouslies! Rui and Makino. Shigeru and Tsukasa... Tsukasa and Makino! My god. What is this? A love star? So we basically see the last 3 minutes of the last episode and continue on from there. The silence is broken (and the staring as well) and Makino exclaims that she has a bad feeling about this (Shigeru running away). Mind you, Rui is still on the phone as we can tell by the fact the camera focuses on Makino's cell phone... that has some strange figurines hanging on it. Tsukasa basically forces her to stay, although he has finally let go of her arm. He tells her to forget about that and just not to go. Makino explains that she doesn't want Shigeru to misunderstand and Tsukasa says that it's not a problem if she does. True. Makino starts, "But..." and has to force herself to say, "You're going to marry her, aren't you?" Tsukasa says that it's not official yet and Makino goes "Huh?" looking at him, for once. Tsukasa explains that he talked to her parents the other night, but he ditched in the middle of it. It is at this point that Rui hangs up his phone, being OBVIOUSLY forgotten... Or, neither actually knew Makino had answered. Who knows. Makino's surprised that he ditched it and we see a scene where Shigeru is outside and calling... AKIRA?! What? Anyway, Makino's fairly indignant as she points out that he had been the one to ask Shigeru to go out with him, so why would he leave in the middle of an important meeting? Tsukasa angrily tells her that it was all because she made him worry and Makino's so surprised that she has to REPEAT his words so that they'd make sense.
He tells her yeah, and that she always has impeccably bad timing. LOL! It's so true. The kiss between Tsukasa/Shigeru. The fact that she fainted the day before her major exam. The fact that she had to chase after an airplane in order to just say bye to Tsukasa... Wait, does that last one really count? Whatever. She says to quit joking and not to blame her. He explains that he had heard she fainted and she looks at him stunned. He continues on that although he thought he shouldn't go, his "NBA" wouldn't sit still. Basketball? He owns a team or something? Heeee! Okay, lame joke, I know, but could I resist? Really? ...Yeah, but we'll ignore that. Makino tries to figure out what NBA is and he tells her it's the genes, "dumbass." She asks whether he means DNA in one of the cutest faces ever. HEE! And Tsukasa just looks at her. She looks away EXTREMELY
quickly, as though catching his eye would equal a bad thing, and stutters as she asks him whether he went to the hospital. Tsukasa, not noticing that she's a little... shaky, just goes "Yeah." She CONTINUES to stutter as she asks him when and at what time. Tsukasa, being quicker on the uptake than I expected although Makino's FAR from being unobvious...Is that even a WORD? So not the word, I wanted anyway. ...Dude, what's the word I'm thinking of?!
Anyway, he basically asks her why she's stuttering and slams his hands against the floor and stands over her as he asks if she did something that she didn't want him to see. Makino's STILL stuttering as she answers, "Of course not." Although it's more like "O-O-Of course not." (According to my subtitles anyway.)
She continues on, saying that she was in the hospital because she was unconscious. He, not being easily fooled for once, asks why she's getting so "overwhelmed" all of a sudden. Not exactly the word I'd used. I'd use... Fidgety or nervous or... Synonyms of those two words. Makino tries to deny it, although I don't see why because she's HORRIBLE at lying it seems and proceeds to ask what time he came and she looks extremely concerned. He answers that it was just after she got carried into the hospital. We see a brief shot of Rui lying back on his bed, looking devestated. Tsukasa goes on to say that he left because Rui was already there.
*sighs* I'm going to SO love screen-capping this episode... Seriously. Here's my first picture of Rui and the devastated look on his face.
She asks him if he met up with Rui and Tsukasa follows that by asking if something happened between her and Rui. She tells him nothing in particular, but she's OBVIOUSLY lying. Gah. Makino? Never become like... a spy or anything. You'd SUCK at it. Tsukasa asks her, almost frankly, if Rui kissed her and this prompts the memory to repeat in Makino's head aka our screen. Her reply is that such a thing is impossible. She rushes past him and goes into the living room again (I don't think I mentioned that she had gotten up at one point and gone towards the kitchen). He brings up the fact that she's fidgeting like crazy and Makino's trying hard to just BREATHE. Tsukasa asks her again if she did it, kissed that is, and Makino denies it. Except that's kinda true. She didn't do anything... Rui kinda acted on his own there. XP Oh, the holes. Anyway, Tsukasa takes this to mean that she did and Makino denies it AGAIN. Once, twice, thrice. Basically they carry a "yes, you did," "no, I didn't" argument for a couple of seconds until Tsukasa gets fed up and tells her not to lie. Makino isn't able to reply after this because Susumu comes in, asking what's wrong and that they've been loud. You mean, like normal? If these two were EVER quiet, that's when I'd be worried. The other'd probably be laying on the floor dead if that were to happen. But then again, that's kinda a nice thing about their relationship. Gah, I'm rambling again.
So the two turn to see Susumu at the door and Makino rushes to her brother, grateful for his interruption I'd assume and apologizes to him, asking if they distracted him. Susumu drops the fact that she has a test too, and that seems to remind Makino as well. She asks Tsukasa to go back to his room already and tells Susumu that he should come back there. He nods and goes to clean up his stuff, leaving Tsukasa and Makino in the same room. AGAIN. I keep using that word, aren't I? Stop repeating things people! Tsukasa bluntly asks if she's kicking him out because she got herself into an awkward situation. He kinda sets his jaw at having to even say the words. Mind you, Makino is turned around so her back is facing Tsukasa and as she turns to go into her room, she basically does a ... 270 in order to go into her room, instead of turning the SHORTER way which wouldn't have her looking at Tsukasa at any point, and tells him that she has to study too. He takes a SECOND before following her into her room (which isn't very far of a distance anyway) and stands behind her, saying "...So you did kiss, huh." She tells him that he's so annoying. He angrily says that it's because she doesn't tell the truth. Makino snaps, "Fine then! I'll tell you the truth!"
Finally, she meets him eye to eye and tells him that Rui had kissed her suddenly and Tsukasa looks stunned, even if it WAS what he had been suspecting. Makino goes on to say that she doesn't mean it as an excuse, but it had been sudden and unexpected and she was honestly surprised and had no idea what to do. Tsukasa's indignant as he says, "So you did do it!" and walks away from her, saying "kissing the hospital room" and how she's a slut. UM. OUCH? She yells that she doesn't think he has any reason to judge her on where she does what. For someone who thinks that, she sure explains a lot. He tells her that he doesn't like it and that's his reason. She calls that stupid and Tsukasa nearly whispers that it isn't stupid and Makino looks up at him kinda... sad?
Makino looking up at Tsukasa with a face that I think says, "Take me already! I need kisses from YOU." Or you know, I could just be reading into this too much. XP Or projecting. Whichever.
Susumu interrupts them once again and Makino is forced to look away to which I go, DAMN YOU, SUSUMU! They could've SO kissed at that point. We NEED more kissing scenes between Makino/Tsukasa! Considering how there have been NONE so far this season. Oh god. We're going to have to wait until the last episode, aren't we? T.T WHHHHY?! At least last season they kissed before then. Sure, it was an accident, but still. Lips linked. That's all that matters. XP ...What was I talking about again? Right. Susumu thanks Tsukasa for letting him borrow his room and Makino's panting as she tells Tsukasa to hurry up and leave. He goes, "Fine" and grabs his stuff, storming out, but stops to at least pat Susumu in the head and to tell him good luck on tomorrow's test. Susumu looks at him in awe and nods happily, possibly because Tsukasa had touched him on the head. (Is it WRONG that I almost typed in Tsusumu, instead of Susumu? Are we going to have a pairing between Tsukasa and Susumu now that'll be Tsusumu?! ....I am SCARED of myself for having thought this and for continuing it by saying that if there ever was such a pairing? It'd totally be one-sided, all on Susumu's part. ...Why, oh WHY am I getting the urge to write a fanfic for this? I scare myself.)
Makino sighs which is followed by a shot of Tsukasa looking serious. We hear Akira go, "The relationship between Makino and Tsukasa?" and we jump to a scene where Akira's sitting with Shigeru, having coffee and cakes, it seems. Shigeru asks if Tsukasa was deeply in love with Makino and Akira tells her that their relationship has ended. Shigeru says that that isn't what it looked like to her. Akira assures her that it was Shigeru that he chose to go out with and she can't really argue with that, repeating Tsukasa's words to her about how he'd try his best to fall in love with her. Akira says that all she can do is to believe in his words and to wait patiently. On a random note, why does Akira ALWAYS get the flowery shirts. LITERALLY? That shirt is COVERED with flower prints. I don't understand! He should be able to buy his own things... not his mother. I HOPE it was his mother that bought it, anyway. Shigeru is still uneasy and starts with, "That's true, but..." Her words trail and Akira tells her that maybe Tsukasa had been trying to break up with Makino. To which I say, YOU'RE LATE. Makino already did that... Did Tsukasa not tell them? Or for that matter, Makino? People! Keep up with the news. You'd think they'd have a newsletter or something. "The Day's Adventure with Makino and Tsukasa! Edition 400." LOL. Random number.
Anyway... Akira asks what they were doing and Shigeru doesn't answer. He tells her that she's not acting like herself, looking depressed and everything. How'd he know? Since when did Shigeru and Akira hang out? In addition, why did she call HIM of all people? She looks at him confused and Akira explains that maybe Tsukasa chose her because she's always optimistic and positive. *snorts* I call it clinging and clueless... Did I mention stalkerish? You'd think I hate her by the way I keep talking about her. XP Shigeru seems to find comfort in Akira's words and goes, "I... guess.." although she does it with a smile. He nods, smiling at her and she thanks him. ...Are they building up for an Akira/Shigeru pairing? Because... that'd be awkward. And I totally don't see it, considering how she seems like the type who'd totally join in with his mother and sisters and Akira would so hate that.
So we jump into the next day and Makino's asking Susumu if he forgot anything like his exam ticket. He assures her that he has it all and Makino's sole bit of advice is to first write his name. LOL. Good one. Some people might forget it! Susumu, anxious to leave, tells her that he's going to go now and Makino tells him good luck. She turns and exclaims, "Time for my exam too!!" She looks around awkwardly and starts making random noise as she approaches her front door. She leans in, trying to see if she can hear anything. Hee! So adorable. We jump into Eitoku and Makino's in a room all by herself and a man gives her the test. He tells her to begin... or rather the room, but since she's the only one, it's basically just to her. XP I'm rambling AGAIN. Gah. I'm so sorry! She starts writing (we see that she puts her name first) and we get a different sound.
Rui's voice flutters in and he seems to have "found out" that Tsukasa was in Makino's room. I put in quotations, because well, he already knew. XP Soujirou says that Tsukasa may not understand the full implication behind his actions. And we finally get a SCENE change. It seems that we're in the F4 lounge and Rui's like reclining in his chair, while Soujirou and Akira are sitting on the couch in front of him. Has Rui like CLAIMED that chair or something? Because it's the only one he seems to sit in. Anyway, Soujirou notes that Tsukasa acts out of instincts more than anything, to which I say, NO DUH. Akira, seeming annoyed, says that whatever the reason, he doesn't want to get involved in his problems anymore.
The F3 in theirlounge, with Rui looking hot as always in his white outfit and he seems to be REALLY relaxing in that chair. How wrong is it that I'm imagining myself sitting on his lap?
Soujirou tells Akira that he gets HIMSELF involved in people's problems, shoving him lightly. Akira denies this and Soujirou points out that Akira could've just given some excuse to Shigeru and ignored her. Or not answer the phone! Easy one. Akira says, "Yeah, but you can't really do that." Er, yes you can. Quite easy. Rui leans against the armrest, then leans his head against a FINGER and tells Akira that he's really nice. Akira points at Rui and goes, "See!" Um.. see what? Rui hot? I do that ALL the time. You're late to the game. Anyway, Akira re-crosses his arms and looks away. Soujirou decides to somewhat change the subject and asks if Tsukasa won't come there anymore. Akira looks at him, and asks "Why?" OH wait, it gets better. HE SAYS IT IN ENGLISH! Soujriou leans back in his chair as he goes, "Because." HEEEE! OMG. THE HANADAN PRODUCERS LISTENED TO ME! If... you know, they read that post where I explicitly said that they should totally just give Shota random English words! OMG. I'm so happy... Even if it WAS only one word.
So Soujirou continues by saying that Tsukasa's been trying to act like an adult and not hang out with them. Speak of the devil, we hear some girl (likely one of the TIG: Three Irritating Girls) scream out for Tsukasa's name. And is it just me or does Tsukasa look like he's part of some band here? Okay, so Matsujun IS in one, but whatever. Akira has to verbalize that he did show up... Something he seems to do a lot, doesn't he? Rui glances towards that direction, although I doubt he can see much with that seat in the way. Oh wait, he's SITTING in it. Soujirou stands up, saying that maybe he'll give him a piece of his mind for once. LOL. For some reason, my head went in a TOTALLY different direction and I was thinking something like Soujirou actually giving a PIECE of his brain. I bet that'd go to good use in Tsukasa's head.
TIG greet Tsukasa and he yells at her not to talk so lightly to him, "Pig." She seems slightly hurt as she goes "Domyouji-sama" but he could care less as he shoves her out of the way, telling her to get out of his sight, "Pig." Well, that causes her to snap as he starts walking away. And she angrily tells him that that's horrible and that she thinks he went too far. *is already snickering for what she considers one of the FUNNIEST moments this episode* TSukasa stops in his tracks and turns to look at her, going "Huh?"

She starts to walk towards him, telling him that she's been putting up with it for a LONG time and that he always calls her "Pig." Just a thought, stop approaching him. That'll nip it in the bud. She jumps up *snickering* Makino-style and forms fists just like Makino would which leads Tsukasa to look in sheer shock. She tells him that it's very rude to someone who worships him as much as she does. So, that doesn't work because Tsukasa immediately strides towards her and SHOVES her against her head and she falls onto the ground. She squeaks and says that she got Tsukasa to touch her before she died. Tsukasa yells at her, calling her dumbass (guess that's a change from Pig) and the rest of TIG go over to her, asking if she's okay. She's too brain-dead to answer. HEHEHE. I loved that scene. I had started cracking up so hard that my sister had to come over and see what was so funny. (She ended up watching the ENTIRE episode with me. LOL.)
Tsukasa shoving her, and her grinning happily at having him touch her. *shudders*
Tsukasa goes up the stairs, heading towards the lounge and we can see Soujirou still standing there. Akira greets him and Tsukasa greets back, asking what's up. By this point though, Tsukasa has actually reached the top floor and spots Rui sitting there. Tsukasa asks, "...You were here too, Rui?" Um. Obviously. Rui greets him, "Yo." And Akira, almost feeling the incoming tension, tells Tsukasa to sit down. Tsukasa ignores this and angrily says that he was about to talk with him, Rui, too. Soujirou asks why he's suddenly in "fighting mode" which should be like a dial on him. Fighting mode, passionate mode, stupid-mistaking words mode. All in ONE lovely doll. Tsukasa Domyouji. In stores now. XP Tsukasa snaps at Soujirou to shut up and I should note that we hadn't seen Rui during that, until now in which Rui just blinks and Tsukasa asks Rui to give him his face for a second.... Um, something's wrong with that sentence. Rui goes "What?" kinda nonchalantly and looks towards Akira and Soujirou, asking if there's something he can't say in front of everyone. Oooooh, he's baiting him! Tsukasa yells at Rui to not play dumb. Rui gets up from his chair, and tells Tsukasa that he doesn't think that he did anything that'd make him mad at Rui. Soujirou is in the back, looking down, not wanting to see the train wreck about to occur, but because, it IS a train wreck about to occur, looks back up. Akira tries to tame the situation by telling them to calm down. (More like Tsukasa should calm down because right now? Rui seems very sure of himself.)
Tsukasa asks Rui what did he do to Makino at the hospital and Soujirou automatically interjects, asking Tsukasa why he knows about it. Tsukasa repeats himself, only his voice is louder now. Rui almost SMIRKS (I could see it coming), but he holds it back as he asks simply, "Are you mad that I kissed her?" Tsukasa's eyes go wide for asecond there and he LUNGES at Rui. He tries to punch him twice, but Rui manages to dodge both and when Tsukasa goes for a third, Rui blocks him and then PUNCHES him with his left fist. Tsukasa flies back, gripping onto the ledge for support, while Akira looks on in concern and Soujirou is looking down, seeming to have decided to avoid the train wreck.

Tsukasa turns to look at Rui, obviously surprised by this turn of events. What? You thought Rui'd stand there and take the hitting? Soujirou is back and looking at the scene and Rui ANGRILY (Yowch, never thought those words would ever be together) snaps at Tsukasa, "I'm the one who wants to ask you!" Tsukasa stands, although very hesitatntly as the camera now focuses on a pissed-off Rui who is still hot... but even HOTTER because, well, he's angry. And apparently? Angry Rui = HOT x 1000. XP I digress. His voice turns unexpectedly gentle as he asks Tsukasa, "What the heck are you thinking?" Tsukasa still has stunned written all over his face, as well as pained and all we see is him breathe and then look down. He manages to ask Rui if he's serious... He stops there, we get a shot of Rui breathing, and then back to Tsukasa who repeats his question but adds in "about her." Rui looks determined as he says, "I'm serious" and we move to Soujirou who looks at Rui after those words as a "tring" goes off in the background. Then Akira looks at Rui, who seems to realize that Rui IS serious. We go back to Rui whose look makes my insides goo and then there's this staring match between Tsukasa and Rui before we move to Makino who's furiously erasing at some sheet.
Like I said... Staring match. And would I miss a hot Rui picture moment? Nooooo. Plus, Tsukasa's looking quite fetching as well, with his pained, "I'm so hurt that you'd betray me" look. There's something strange that THAT is how I interpret these pictures.
The proctor's pacing and Makino looks up, trying to think and we move onto credits.
I may have been luke-warm to this new opening song. But I pretty much LOVE it now. The opening is good too, but I LOVED the first one so much more. Especially its ending. The part where Makino and Tsukasa are mock fighting and she's still all fidgety around Rui? Gah. Much love. Anyway. Back to the show! The proctor tells Makino to stop and she puts down her sheet, seeming to just have been looking over her answers. She's talking to someone and tells them that she's finally finished and it's all because of "you." And it's because he convinced them to give her a retake. Then she thanks him. We see that she's talking to Rui over the phone as she stands in her special spot, the fire escape, while he is sitting by his window. He asks her if she wants to have an early celebration and Makino tells him that she can't relax until she finds out that she passed. He tells her that she pushed herself so hard to the point of collapsing, so he thinks she'll be fine. Makino's still a little reluctant and she goes, "I hope so..." Then she tells him that she'll treat HIM for once and at first, Rui tells her not to force herself. But she insists and tells him that it won't be some fancy place that they all go to, and if that's okay. Rui grins, seeming happy to just be going out to eat with her and agrees.
We transfer to Tsukasa who's on HIS cell phone, riding in his car to some place and we hear him say "Got it" and that he has something to tell "you" too. We see Shigeru who is hanging up her phone, so I guess it was her that Tsukasa was talking to. Wait, we KNOW it's her because she repeats his words, wondering what he's going to say. Tsukasa hangs up and looks out his window and the memory of Rui and his fight comes back. We see, once again, Tsukasa asking Rui if he's serious and Rui's answer that he is. The staring match is back, and apparently Tsukasa blinked first because he's the one to speak, "You gotta be kidding me." Rui tells him that he's kidding no one and Tsukasa doesn't believe him. He tells Rui to cut the crap (almost desparately too). Rui says to Tsukasa that he wasn't going to say anything, since Tsukasa's his friend after all (glad he remembered that). He thought that as long as things were going smooth between them, he was okay with it. He reminds Tsukasa that he told him back then too.
Oh look! Convenient clip from Season One after that BIG fight between the F4 and Rui is telling Tsukasa, back then, that if anything happens (bad between Tsukasa and Makino), Rui won't hold himself back. You know, for a series that didn't know they were going to go into a second season, they sure do foreshadow mightly well. And might I add that Rui looking bloody and wounded there is FREAKING HOT. I know, I know. I've said that he's hot and yummy throughout this, but seriously. There's something about IT! Wow, this fan-girling must drive some of you readers mad. XP Tsukasa seems to remember those words and Rui keeps talking in his low, rumbly voice about how Tsukasa ditched her for a year, then came back with a girlfriend and was even engaged. "After crushing her feelings like that, don't come back now and act like her f****** boyfriend!!" HEEE! HE CURSED!! OOOOOH. POTTY MOUTH. "Right now, Tsukasa, you're the lowest jerk." Tsukasa looks angry at this, although it seems kinda "muted" for loss of words, and we get a shot of Soujirou, looking at Rui, almost resigned to what he knows is going to happen and Akira who looks at Tsukasa, worried about what the heck is going to happen.
Tsukasa struggles to breathe, obviously shaken and he starts to walk away. Rui breathes in, licks his lips and stares at some point in the wall, counting in his head. Okay, so I'm guessing, but whatever. The counting, by the way Rui? Is a little late. People usually do that BEFORE they snap so that they DON'T snap. We see Tsukasa approach a potted plant and he bends over to grab it, then FLINGS it over the ledge! o.O He could've KILLED someone like that! The students start screaming (I'd've been OUT that door by now) and some are just running around like trapped rats. Except they're not, trapped. Rats? Debatable. Tsukasa stomps down the stairs and once he reaches the ground floor, starts beating up whoever is closest (which all happen to be male, just a note). Akira moves towards him, calling out Tsukasa's name and Soujirou stops him. Soujirou says to forget it and that Tsukasa's unstoppable now. Akira looks concerned and we see Rui looking down in silence. Out of guilt? Who knows what's running through his head. That burst was really a new one for Rui, I think. We go back to Tsukasa who has just flung a kid over his shoulder and onto a table. We can see TIG in the background there, and I kinda wish he'd've like slapped one of them. That'd've been fun... XP Tsukasa SCREAMS at the top of his lungs, just like he did in his room last episode.
The last shot is of his eyes and the camera then moves to the photo of Tsukasa that hung in the lunchroom. We see Makino walk into the lounge and she's in AWE of the sheer damage that has occurred. I'd be too. She asks, "What is this?" Although, that IS a fairly silly question. So obvious that like, a T-Rex came by and stomped on the grounds and then left. Duh. Soujirou, who we can hear walking down stairs (but not see), tells Makino that Tsukasa threw a fit. T-Rex, Tsukasa. Same difference. Soujirou is with Akira as they reach Makino who asks, "Domyouji did?" No, Rui. ...Not as believable, is it? Akira gets snippy
and tells Makino that if she doesn't make clear what her feelings are right now, it's going to get uglier later on. And they're the ones who have to "wipe his ass." .... Why, oh why did you use that phrase? Also, HASN'T she? Numerous times to Tsukasa. We all know this. They're called their ANGSTY moments. All fans hate them because Makino keeps having to repeat her good-byes. XP Anyway, Akira tells her to not forget that. He stomps out like the prissy princess he was brought up to be and Soujirou tries to tame the situation by telling Makino not to let Akira bother her. Wow, strange. HE'S acting as the mediator? That's different. Soujirou explains that Akira had to give advice to Shigeru too and so he's in an awkward situation. I still don't understand why Shigeru went to Akira first. I will NOT let go of this until we get answers. Anyway, Makino goes "I see..." And Soujirou asks Makino to step outside for a minute. On a random note, I usually DON'T like fur too much, but Soujirou works that jacket WAY too well! @.@ Damn. Wardrobe must LOVE him.
So we hear Shigeru calling out, "Over here!" and she's meeting up with Tsukasa, it seems. She asks, "What happened to that scar?" and Tsukasa just tells her nothing. The word, not silence. We move scenes and we hear Soujirou going, quite loudly, "Are you serious? I used to go near that place a lot as a kid. The place where she's staying at right now." Oooooh, more foreshadowing. At least this time it's WITHIN the same season. So we actually see Makino and Soujirou and Soujirou's on top of his motorcycle, about to leave while Makino's standing off to the side. Makino comments on how that's so weird since there's no rich neighborhoods near there and doesn't match him at all. LOL. I'll say. Soujirou chuckles a little and Makino goes, "Huh?" He tells her that she finally laughed and when she goes "Eh?" He explains that she isn't herself when she's depressed. ...Hmm... Sound familiar? *coughSHIGERUcough* She smiles a little then thanks him. He tells her to forget about stupid pride (which will never happen). Makino smiles again and switches tracks to match-making mode, pats the spot behind him, and tells Soujirou that he should let Yuki sit there and take her to the beach or something. Soujirou tells her that he doesn't give girls rides and she disbelievingly goes, "No way!" He says that it's the truth and puts on his star helmet. She hmms and looks on as Soujirou fastens the helmet. He turns to face her after the task is done and tells her that she's only got one chance in life and then he taps her on the forehead. And then he drives away. Way to have the last word.

So we switch tracks and Shigeru is asking Tsukasa when is he going to say something. Well, if this is ANYTHING like your other dates, then never. So don't hold your breath. She points out that they're on a date, after all. Tsukasa stutters as he tries to approach the topic of yesterday, and Shigeru tries to brush it aside by telling him that it's fine and it doesn't bother her at all. She says it so nonchalantly too that it throws Tsukasa off. Shigeru explains that she knows that he still has feelings for Makino and that they started dating under that condition, after all. Then she says that she doesn't want him to fall in love with HER so easily either. He's confused (as are most of the viewers because Shigeru's like... a nutcase sometimes) and asks her what that's supposed to mean. She answers that it'd be like he fell for every pretty girl that came his way and that would make her worry in the long run. Well, makes sense, I suppose. She makes a comment about how marriage lasts a long time and how she likes that he goes after something whole-heartedly. And that he did say that he was going to try and love her, so... she's expecting it'll take some time. Well, logical. Just not reasonable. Tsukasa starts to go, "But..." and Shigeru takes this and asks him if he had sex with Makino after that?! He tells her to be quiet (which is true because, dude, embarrassing question to Tsukasa the virgin.) She moans that that's harsh and even she'd have a hard time accepting that. He snaps at her to stop jumping to conclusions and she asks him if he didn't. He tells her, "Of course not, not in a place like that." She tells him to tell her before he does... which implies that she thinks he's going to jump Makino's bones sometime soon... XP He goes "As if I'll say it" and Shigeru asks if that means he's going to do it. Tsukasa complains that that's not what he meant and Shigeru sighs that she's starting to worry.
She leans back and looks at some point, points and goes, "Hey, it's Tsukushi!" Tsukasa jumps out of his chair to see if Makino was really there and Shigeru grins and goes, "Just kidding." and does like... spirit fingers. LOL. He huffs and sits back down while Shigeru giggles at her having fooled Tsukasa. Believe me, not that much of an achievement. He asks her what she's thinking and she tells him that she's always only thinking of him... which causes him to smile a little? Awww... He likes the thought of people thinking of him. She notices and goes "Grin!" Like saying the word and doing the action. Oh, god.
We're with Makino and ...Rui! And she's saying that it looks like things were a bit rough there. The lounge, I'm assuming. Rui tells her that he guesses he went on a tirade and said things he wanted to without thinking. She asks, "Things you wanted to?" He explains that he realized a few things about himself as he was yelling at Tsukasa. He leans on his hand and muses, "I wonder when it started..." Makino asks, "When what?" and sorry... but you led yourself into this corner. Rui looks at her, smiling and says quite simply, "When I started liking you." Wow, when he's forward, HE'S FORWARD. Makino, likely feeling uncomfortable, asks him what he's talking about and that he already has Shizuka. He grins and then talks about how she cries, laughs, get angry and that after seeing her with so many emotions, he thought she was a little annoying at first. LOL! (BTW? Season 1 Rui was QUITE hot. I so need to rewatch this series.) So we're getting various clips of Season 1, just so you all know. He continues on that after seeing her work so hard in life, he guesses something changed within me. (We get a clip of Rui leaning in to kiss her during Season 1 that I cannot remember for the LIFE of me! @.@ I SO need to rewatch.) And yes, something has changed with Rui. I will hold to that thought.
Rui goes on to explain that he used to be indifferent towards everything, but after meeting her, he began to change slowly inside and hanging out with her started to become normal. We get a shot of Makino, staring down, really LISTENING to his words. Well, I think/hope she is. Rui says that he would start to feel lonely without her. He goes on with his speech about how when she went to New York, he had been laughing with Soujirou and Akira, imagining her tripping somewhere by herself... which I can totally see. But before he realized it, he was standing in front of her in New York. I so wanna see what he was thinking when he decided to run off become a knight in white. XP Anyway, Makino looks at Rui as he confesses again that he guesses he does like her after all.
We hear their boss say, "Of course he does!" and we see that Makino is with Yuki, leaning against the display case, thinking? So the boss continues and talks about how if your first love suddenly turns around and tells you that he loves you, it'd be a shock like no other, but... Makino interrupts telling her to speak a little simpler and the boss changes tracks and turns to Makino, telling her that love is not something that sprouts overnight. True. Although with the stories you see sometimes, that's totally what happens, but I digress. She says the fact that Rui loves her is nothing strange at all. I think so too,
actually. She tells Makino that what's important is who does SHE love more. Yes, I TOTALLY agree! Then the boss makes a comment about how "I honestly don't want to get involved with him anymore" which, what? Whatever, Yuki comments that Makino can't forget about Tsukasa that easily and Makino tells her that she's already put an end to everything concerning Tsukasa OVER AND OVER. Which she has. And that she honestly doesn't want to get involved with him anymore. The boss asks if that's what she really feels and Makino tells her that she thinks Tsukasa should marry Shigeru and make himself happy. Mind you, throughout this, we see Tsukasa walking down some paths or another.
So now we're focusing on Tsukasa who's walking down the sidewalk, clutching at his jacket as though he's cold. Where's that SCARF?! I mean you wore it before (although it didn't seem to help much then), but you're still shivering? Gah. So he looks sideways and sees something familiar/curious and oh, look! It's Susumu, sitting on a bench at some kid's playground. Tsukasa goes "Huh?" and we cut forward slightly and Tsukasa is exclaiming, "LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT??!!" Heh. Susumu jumps up and tells him to please not say it so loud! Tsukasa looks around, wondering who would be interested in that news... I kid. I kid. He asks Susumu where? And the young boy tells him at the testing site. Turns out Susumu DIDN'T have everything after all. He ended up forgetting to bring his eraser. ...What kind of pencils do YOU have? All my pencils always have erasers on them. Anyway, Susumu's a mix between panicked and crazy. XP Seriously. He starts rocking in his chair, asking himself OUT-LOUD what he's going to do. The girl next to him notices, not really a surprise, and offers one of her erasers... because she has two. Convenient! He smiles at her, then thanks her. She nods and smiles back.
We jump forward again, the test is done, and we see Girl walking out in the hallway. Susumu catches up to her and thanks her again. The two carry on a conversation about the test and if the school was their first choice or not. It's kinda cute, considering how awkward Susumu must've been. She tells him that she hopes they both pass and that just did it for him. We're back to Tsukasa and Susumu... Lovingly nicknamed Tsusumu now! Because they have a ton of scenes together and I'm bound to get lazy. So we're back to Tsusumu and he's like ...giving him a noogie? Except not? Petting him? I seriously don't know what this "action" would be called, but Tsukasa's teasing Susumu about thinking about love and calls him a little rascal. Heh. Susumu begs Tsukasa to keep this a secret from Makino and Tsukasa tells him he gets it. Tsukasa tries to get as much information from Susumu about Girl and turns out? Susumu knows ZIP. XP No name, no school. Susumu's all dejected here, and Tsukasa notices. He asks Susumu if he fell for her that hard and Susumu bears open his heart to tell Tsukasa that this is the first time he's felt like this. This causes Tsukasa to become determined for Susumu's plight. So... He tells Susumu that they'll make a plan, "a secret plan between two guys." Heh.
I think we both NEED and deserve an image break, don't you think? Tsusumu bonding. ^_^
Now Tsusumu are at the apartment and Tsukasa is talking about how Girl will have definitely be there when the results come out. Note if you will that Tsukasa currently has his arm around Susumu and is clutching a cup with his other arm and they're currently sitting down on the floor. Just so you know. And because it amuses me to no end. Tsukasa tells Susumu that he's going to get there early and wait for her. Ooooh, smart. Tsukasa knows waiting better than ANYBODY! Next, Tsukasa says that he's to approach her as soon as she comes. Wow, this plan? EXTREMELY LOTS OF THOUGHT PUT INTO IT. ~_~;; As soon as he says that, Tsukasa moves to take a drink, but Susumu interrupts him when he exclaims, "Eh?! As soon as?!" Tsukasa explains that he doesn't want to lose sight of her which prompts Susumu to ask if he confesses to her then? Tsukasa puts down his cup and then smacks Tsusumu on the head. "Of course!" he says, as though it ISN'T a scary thing to confess to the girl you like. Well, for Tsukasa, it wouldn't be.
Tsukasa gets up and goes towards the window... Don't have a clue why, he just does. And Susumu asks, "Not after we pass the test and we're both in high school?" Tsukasa tells him that it's like the saying, "Ben should be done quickly!" ... There's this joke about poo and well, I really don't want to type it. Tsukasa starts laughing, as he often does at his own mistakes, and calls Susumu a dirty guy. This leads Tsukasa to worry more about Susumu's test results than the confession. LOL. Dude, you're mistaking your own stupidity for others. ~_~ Stop projecting. I do that ENOUGH. Don't need a character doing it as well. Susumu looks worried as well and wonders if Girl passed as well and that maybe he shouldn't confess to her so suddenly. Ooooh, and then Tsukasa trumps him by asking if he thinks that the girl he loves is an idiot to which Susumu denies. He's about to say something after, but Tsukasa interrupts telling Susumu that once he loses sight of her, he loses everything. ...Is he speaking from experience? I THINK SO!
Once again, Tsukasa has gone over to the boy and put his arm around him and is now looking into his eyes with determination! No, I am NOT trying to push Tsusumu slash. Maybe a little. Only because it's funny. Susumu nods, a little shaky... But that could be due to Tsukasa's proximity. XP Tsukasa makes a point to tell Susumu that since HE fell in love with Girl at first sight, she's bound to be popular once school starts and then he won't stand a chance. LOL! Okay, that was too good. He's trying to pump Susumu up, but he insults him at the same time. NICE one. I think we all should take lessons from Tsukasa on how to encourage someone, yet insult them in the same breath. It must be a nice tactic every now and then. Susumu doesn't see it my way, however, and instead seems to be listening intently to TSukasa's words. Tsukasa shifts a little and at one point, came a LITTLE too close. But I digress. Tsukasa tells Susumu to be more confident and that he's the brother of the girl he's recognized so he'll definitely be all right. Sweet words... I mean it. No romantic thoughts here! (Especially since he mentioned Makino. Spoil sport.)
Susumu's STILL dejected and wonders if he really will be all right. Tsukasa lies down on the floor as he tells Susumu that he's nowhere close to what Tsukasa has, but he has plenty. ~_~;; We're back to encourage/insult again, I see. He says to Susumu to put his effort into this and to do his best. Susumu joins him in lying down and the two are just leaning against said floor, looking at each other. Susumu asks if it's okay to give her a love letter and Tsukasa breaks their eye contact by lying flat on his back, making a note on how Susumu seems to be old-fashioned. Susumu, wanting to imitate nearly all aspects of Tsukasa, copies Tsukasa's pose. LOL. Very cute.
I could NOT resist! They're so cute. And Susumu so idolizes Tsukasa.
When Susumu hears what Tsukasa says, he asks if that means he can't, but Tsukasa assures him that it might work. He leans on his elbow again and tells Susumu to write one, he'll check it. Susumu's utterly pleased by all this and nods. Tsukasa is also quite glad and smiles at the boy.
We switch tracks and we're looking on at MFH (mother from Hell) who's reading a newspaper about how the Domyouji Group's profit is decreasing. She's currently on the phone telling some person that she got it and that she'll be back soon. She hangs up and sighs and we see that she's looking at the computer scene of what looks to be a very wavering line, until we get to the end and it's just plain decreasing. Nishida, who apparently was there this entire time, suggests that they close the New York Branch. She tells him that that's out of the question and closes the program that held the image. He pardons himself and is about to leave when MFH calls for him, talking about how Tsukasa hasn't come home. She tells him that she told him to keep his eye on Tsukasa. Nishida apologizes and asks if he's to return to Japan. He sounds surprised when MFH tells him for that week, yes and to keep a close eye on him for that week. She flips open her cell phone and... She's talking to Shigeru?! On a random note, is it just me or irony that MFH just HAPPENS to have a CROSS (bejeweled and whatnot) hanging from her phone? Seriously! These writers are talking to me, aren't they? First, the whole Soujirou speaking in English. And now? MFH
has a cross on her phone? It's like, "Look! She's religious. She's not from hell! Stop typing MFH." XP Or you know, I could be reading into this too much. LOL.
For PROOF. Because we all want to see that cross.
So MFH asks if it's possible to see her today and Nishida looks surprised for the second time. (Even IF his eyes give away basically nothing.) So we're in... Tokyo Tower? I'm guessing. She's asking Shigeru, obviously despite the fact that we haven't seen her, if things are goin well between her and Tsukasa. Shigeru lies and says, "Yes!" quite enthusiastically, as though THAT'LL turn things around. LOL. I'm reaching again. Anyway, MFH tries to "smooth" things over and says that she knows he must give Shigeru a lot of trouble, (A level BEYOND a lot of trouble, if such a thing even exists.) but to please take care of him. Shigeru smiles and continues to ... stir the pot? Then MFH wishes them the best for their wedding from the bottom of your heart. ...That's rather difficult, since... well, you don't HAVE a heart. XP I digress. Shigeru adds in that her father is hoping for the wedding as well which prompts MFH to ask if he's not be angry over the other night. Shigeru assures her not to worry since he wasn't at all. Shigeru grabs some food and asks, "This is delicious, isn't it?" What? MFH gives Shigeru a look that says, "WTF are you ON?! O.O" Or I could be reaching again. As always.
So we're now with Susumu who's writing his love letter! And you can see that he's done some work already. Crumpled papers beside him, convenient eraser... left-overs? Whatever that's called. He's writing away when Makino arrives. Immediately, Susumu starts taking all the crumpled papers and hiding them where he can which is underneath his sweater. LOL. She asks what he's doing and he tells her nothing... Again, the word, not the action. Makino leans in and asks him about his exam and if he did well. He says that he did and Makino sighs in relief. She gets up and asks if he's hungry and that she'll make dinner soon. Susumu nods, trying to wipe off the table of the eraser shreddings as though THAT'LL reveal everything that he's been doing. Makino sees the cup Tsukasa had used and asks if someone came by, then she moves to grab it. Immediately, Susumu grabs at it and tells her nobody was there, then stumbles with cup in hand into the kitchen. Makino's disbelieving, but doesn't say a word.
Part II
1) Oh, Tsukasa, I have missed you! I'm so glad you're back... You ARE back, right? Please tell me you are.
2) Sorry this is late. I didn't MEAN to be late... But a combination of lazy/exhaustion/school got in the way. Also? 5 less pictures or so less than usual... That means a whole lot more talking. XP So... enjoy the rambling.
Previouslies! Rui and Makino. Shigeru and Tsukasa... Tsukasa and Makino! My god. What is this? A love star? So we basically see the last 3 minutes of the last episode and continue on from there. The silence is broken (and the staring as well) and Makino exclaims that she has a bad feeling about this (Shigeru running away). Mind you, Rui is still on the phone as we can tell by the fact the camera focuses on Makino's cell phone... that has some strange figurines hanging on it. Tsukasa basically forces her to stay, although he has finally let go of her arm. He tells her to forget about that and just not to go. Makino explains that she doesn't want Shigeru to misunderstand and Tsukasa says that it's not a problem if she does. True. Makino starts, "But..." and has to force herself to say, "You're going to marry her, aren't you?" Tsukasa says that it's not official yet and Makino goes "Huh?" looking at him, for once. Tsukasa explains that he talked to her parents the other night, but he ditched in the middle of it. It is at this point that Rui hangs up his phone, being OBVIOUSLY forgotten... Or, neither actually knew Makino had answered. Who knows. Makino's surprised that he ditched it and we see a scene where Shigeru is outside and calling... AKIRA?! What? Anyway, Makino's fairly indignant as she points out that he had been the one to ask Shigeru to go out with him, so why would he leave in the middle of an important meeting? Tsukasa angrily tells her that it was all because she made him worry and Makino's so surprised that she has to REPEAT his words so that they'd make sense.
He tells her yeah, and that she always has impeccably bad timing. LOL! It's so true. The kiss between Tsukasa/Shigeru. The fact that she fainted the day before her major exam. The fact that she had to chase after an airplane in order to just say bye to Tsukasa... Wait, does that last one really count? Whatever. She says to quit joking and not to blame her. He explains that he had heard she fainted and she looks at him stunned. He continues on that although he thought he shouldn't go, his "NBA" wouldn't sit still. Basketball? He owns a team or something? Heeee! Okay, lame joke, I know, but could I resist? Really? ...Yeah, but we'll ignore that. Makino tries to figure out what NBA is and he tells her it's the genes, "dumbass." She asks whether he means DNA in one of the cutest faces ever. HEE! And Tsukasa just looks at her. She looks away EXTREMELY
quickly, as though catching his eye would equal a bad thing, and stutters as she asks him whether he went to the hospital. Tsukasa, not noticing that she's a little... shaky, just goes "Yeah." She CONTINUES to stutter as she asks him when and at what time. Tsukasa, being quicker on the uptake than I expected although Makino's FAR from being unobvious...Is that even a WORD? So not the word, I wanted anyway. ...Dude, what's the word I'm thinking of?!
Anyway, he basically asks her why she's stuttering and slams his hands against the floor and stands over her as he asks if she did something that she didn't want him to see. Makino's STILL stuttering as she answers, "Of course not." Although it's more like "O-O-Of course not." (According to my subtitles anyway.)
She continues on, saying that she was in the hospital because she was unconscious. He, not being easily fooled for once, asks why she's getting so "overwhelmed" all of a sudden. Not exactly the word I'd used. I'd use... Fidgety or nervous or... Synonyms of those two words. Makino tries to deny it, although I don't see why because she's HORRIBLE at lying it seems and proceeds to ask what time he came and she looks extremely concerned. He answers that it was just after she got carried into the hospital. We see a brief shot of Rui lying back on his bed, looking devestated. Tsukasa goes on to say that he left because Rui was already there.
*sighs* I'm going to SO love screen-capping this episode... Seriously. Here's my first picture of Rui and the devastated look on his face.
She asks him if he met up with Rui and Tsukasa follows that by asking if something happened between her and Rui. She tells him nothing in particular, but she's OBVIOUSLY lying. Gah. Makino? Never become like... a spy or anything. You'd SUCK at it. Tsukasa asks her, almost frankly, if Rui kissed her and this prompts the memory to repeat in Makino's head aka our screen. Her reply is that such a thing is impossible. She rushes past him and goes into the living room again (I don't think I mentioned that she had gotten up at one point and gone towards the kitchen). He brings up the fact that she's fidgeting like crazy and Makino's trying hard to just BREATHE. Tsukasa asks her again if she did it, kissed that is, and Makino denies it. Except that's kinda true. She didn't do anything... Rui kinda acted on his own there. XP Oh, the holes. Anyway, Tsukasa takes this to mean that she did and Makino denies it AGAIN. Once, twice, thrice. Basically they carry a "yes, you did," "no, I didn't" argument for a couple of seconds until Tsukasa gets fed up and tells her not to lie. Makino isn't able to reply after this because Susumu comes in, asking what's wrong and that they've been loud. You mean, like normal? If these two were EVER quiet, that's when I'd be worried. The other'd probably be laying on the floor dead if that were to happen. But then again, that's kinda a nice thing about their relationship. Gah, I'm rambling again.
So the two turn to see Susumu at the door and Makino rushes to her brother, grateful for his interruption I'd assume and apologizes to him, asking if they distracted him. Susumu drops the fact that she has a test too, and that seems to remind Makino as well. She asks Tsukasa to go back to his room already and tells Susumu that he should come back there. He nods and goes to clean up his stuff, leaving Tsukasa and Makino in the same room. AGAIN. I keep using that word, aren't I? Stop repeating things people! Tsukasa bluntly asks if she's kicking him out because she got herself into an awkward situation. He kinda sets his jaw at having to even say the words. Mind you, Makino is turned around so her back is facing Tsukasa and as she turns to go into her room, she basically does a ... 270 in order to go into her room, instead of turning the SHORTER way which wouldn't have her looking at Tsukasa at any point, and tells him that she has to study too. He takes a SECOND before following her into her room (which isn't very far of a distance anyway) and stands behind her, saying "...So you did kiss, huh." She tells him that he's so annoying. He angrily says that it's because she doesn't tell the truth. Makino snaps, "Fine then! I'll tell you the truth!"
Finally, she meets him eye to eye and tells him that Rui had kissed her suddenly and Tsukasa looks stunned, even if it WAS what he had been suspecting. Makino goes on to say that she doesn't mean it as an excuse, but it had been sudden and unexpected and she was honestly surprised and had no idea what to do. Tsukasa's indignant as he says, "So you did do it!" and walks away from her, saying "kissing the hospital room" and how she's a slut. UM. OUCH? She yells that she doesn't think he has any reason to judge her on where she does what. For someone who thinks that, she sure explains a lot. He tells her that he doesn't like it and that's his reason. She calls that stupid and Tsukasa nearly whispers that it isn't stupid and Makino looks up at him kinda... sad?
Makino looking up at Tsukasa with a face that I think says, "Take me already! I need kisses from YOU." Or you know, I could just be reading into this too much. XP Or projecting. Whichever.
Susumu interrupts them once again and Makino is forced to look away to which I go, DAMN YOU, SUSUMU! They could've SO kissed at that point. We NEED more kissing scenes between Makino/Tsukasa! Considering how there have been NONE so far this season. Oh god. We're going to have to wait until the last episode, aren't we? T.T WHHHHY?! At least last season they kissed before then. Sure, it was an accident, but still. Lips linked. That's all that matters. XP ...What was I talking about again? Right. Susumu thanks Tsukasa for letting him borrow his room and Makino's panting as she tells Tsukasa to hurry up and leave. He goes, "Fine" and grabs his stuff, storming out, but stops to at least pat Susumu in the head and to tell him good luck on tomorrow's test. Susumu looks at him in awe and nods happily, possibly because Tsukasa had touched him on the head. (Is it WRONG that I almost typed in Tsusumu, instead of Susumu? Are we going to have a pairing between Tsukasa and Susumu now that'll be Tsusumu?! ....I am SCARED of myself for having thought this and for continuing it by saying that if there ever was such a pairing? It'd totally be one-sided, all on Susumu's part. ...Why, oh WHY am I getting the urge to write a fanfic for this? I scare myself.)
Makino sighs which is followed by a shot of Tsukasa looking serious. We hear Akira go, "The relationship between Makino and Tsukasa?" and we jump to a scene where Akira's sitting with Shigeru, having coffee and cakes, it seems. Shigeru asks if Tsukasa was deeply in love with Makino and Akira tells her that their relationship has ended. Shigeru says that that isn't what it looked like to her. Akira assures her that it was Shigeru that he chose to go out with and she can't really argue with that, repeating Tsukasa's words to her about how he'd try his best to fall in love with her. Akira says that all she can do is to believe in his words and to wait patiently. On a random note, why does Akira ALWAYS get the flowery shirts. LITERALLY? That shirt is COVERED with flower prints. I don't understand! He should be able to buy his own things... not his mother. I HOPE it was his mother that bought it, anyway. Shigeru is still uneasy and starts with, "That's true, but..." Her words trail and Akira tells her that maybe Tsukasa had been trying to break up with Makino. To which I say, YOU'RE LATE. Makino already did that... Did Tsukasa not tell them? Or for that matter, Makino? People! Keep up with the news. You'd think they'd have a newsletter or something. "The Day's Adventure with Makino and Tsukasa! Edition 400." LOL. Random number.
Anyway... Akira asks what they were doing and Shigeru doesn't answer. He tells her that she's not acting like herself, looking depressed and everything. How'd he know? Since when did Shigeru and Akira hang out? In addition, why did she call HIM of all people? She looks at him confused and Akira explains that maybe Tsukasa chose her because she's always optimistic and positive. *snorts* I call it clinging and clueless... Did I mention stalkerish? You'd think I hate her by the way I keep talking about her. XP Shigeru seems to find comfort in Akira's words and goes, "I... guess.." although she does it with a smile. He nods, smiling at her and she thanks him. ...Are they building up for an Akira/Shigeru pairing? Because... that'd be awkward. And I totally don't see it, considering how she seems like the type who'd totally join in with his mother and sisters and Akira would so hate that.
So we jump into the next day and Makino's asking Susumu if he forgot anything like his exam ticket. He assures her that he has it all and Makino's sole bit of advice is to first write his name. LOL. Good one. Some people might forget it! Susumu, anxious to leave, tells her that he's going to go now and Makino tells him good luck. She turns and exclaims, "Time for my exam too!!" She looks around awkwardly and starts making random noise as she approaches her front door. She leans in, trying to see if she can hear anything. Hee! So adorable. We jump into Eitoku and Makino's in a room all by herself and a man gives her the test. He tells her to begin... or rather the room, but since she's the only one, it's basically just to her. XP I'm rambling AGAIN. Gah. I'm so sorry! She starts writing (we see that she puts her name first) and we get a different sound.
Rui's voice flutters in and he seems to have "found out" that Tsukasa was in Makino's room. I put in quotations, because well, he already knew. XP Soujirou says that Tsukasa may not understand the full implication behind his actions. And we finally get a SCENE change. It seems that we're in the F4 lounge and Rui's like reclining in his chair, while Soujirou and Akira are sitting on the couch in front of him. Has Rui like CLAIMED that chair or something? Because it's the only one he seems to sit in. Anyway, Soujirou notes that Tsukasa acts out of instincts more than anything, to which I say, NO DUH. Akira, seeming annoyed, says that whatever the reason, he doesn't want to get involved in his problems anymore.
The F3 in theirlounge, with Rui looking hot as always in his white outfit and he seems to be REALLY relaxing in that chair. How wrong is it that I'm imagining myself sitting on his lap?
Soujirou tells Akira that he gets HIMSELF involved in people's problems, shoving him lightly. Akira denies this and Soujirou points out that Akira could've just given some excuse to Shigeru and ignored her. Or not answer the phone! Easy one. Akira says, "Yeah, but you can't really do that." Er, yes you can. Quite easy. Rui leans against the armrest, then leans his head against a FINGER and tells Akira that he's really nice. Akira points at Rui and goes, "See!" Um.. see what? Rui hot? I do that ALL the time. You're late to the game. Anyway, Akira re-crosses his arms and looks away. Soujirou decides to somewhat change the subject and asks if Tsukasa won't come there anymore. Akira looks at him, and asks "Why?" OH wait, it gets better. HE SAYS IT IN ENGLISH! Soujriou leans back in his chair as he goes, "Because." HEEEE! OMG. THE HANADAN PRODUCERS LISTENED TO ME! If... you know, they read that post where I explicitly said that they should totally just give Shota random English words! OMG. I'm so happy... Even if it WAS only one word.
So Soujirou continues by saying that Tsukasa's been trying to act like an adult and not hang out with them. Speak of the devil, we hear some girl (likely one of the TIG: Three Irritating Girls) scream out for Tsukasa's name. And is it just me or does Tsukasa look like he's part of some band here? Okay, so Matsujun IS in one, but whatever. Akira has to verbalize that he did show up... Something he seems to do a lot, doesn't he? Rui glances towards that direction, although I doubt he can see much with that seat in the way. Oh wait, he's SITTING in it. Soujirou stands up, saying that maybe he'll give him a piece of his mind for once. LOL. For some reason, my head went in a TOTALLY different direction and I was thinking something like Soujirou actually giving a PIECE of his brain. I bet that'd go to good use in Tsukasa's head.
TIG greet Tsukasa and he yells at her not to talk so lightly to him, "Pig." She seems slightly hurt as she goes "Domyouji-sama" but he could care less as he shoves her out of the way, telling her to get out of his sight, "Pig." Well, that causes her to snap as he starts walking away. And she angrily tells him that that's horrible and that she thinks he went too far. *is already snickering for what she considers one of the FUNNIEST moments this episode* TSukasa stops in his tracks and turns to look at her, going "Huh?"

She starts to walk towards him, telling him that she's been putting up with it for a LONG time and that he always calls her "Pig." Just a thought, stop approaching him. That'll nip it in the bud. She jumps up *snickering* Makino-style and forms fists just like Makino would which leads Tsukasa to look in sheer shock. She tells him that it's very rude to someone who worships him as much as she does. So, that doesn't work because Tsukasa immediately strides towards her and SHOVES her against her head and she falls onto the ground. She squeaks and says that she got Tsukasa to touch her before she died. Tsukasa yells at her, calling her dumbass (guess that's a change from Pig) and the rest of TIG go over to her, asking if she's okay. She's too brain-dead to answer. HEHEHE. I loved that scene. I had started cracking up so hard that my sister had to come over and see what was so funny. (She ended up watching the ENTIRE episode with me. LOL.)

Tsukasa goes up the stairs, heading towards the lounge and we can see Soujirou still standing there. Akira greets him and Tsukasa greets back, asking what's up. By this point though, Tsukasa has actually reached the top floor and spots Rui sitting there. Tsukasa asks, "...You were here too, Rui?" Um. Obviously. Rui greets him, "Yo." And Akira, almost feeling the incoming tension, tells Tsukasa to sit down. Tsukasa ignores this and angrily says that he was about to talk with him, Rui, too. Soujirou asks why he's suddenly in "fighting mode" which should be like a dial on him. Fighting mode, passionate mode, stupid-mistaking words mode. All in ONE lovely doll. Tsukasa Domyouji. In stores now. XP Tsukasa snaps at Soujirou to shut up and I should note that we hadn't seen Rui during that, until now in which Rui just blinks and Tsukasa asks Rui to give him his face for a second.... Um, something's wrong with that sentence. Rui goes "What?" kinda nonchalantly and looks towards Akira and Soujirou, asking if there's something he can't say in front of everyone. Oooooh, he's baiting him! Tsukasa yells at Rui to not play dumb. Rui gets up from his chair, and tells Tsukasa that he doesn't think that he did anything that'd make him mad at Rui. Soujirou is in the back, looking down, not wanting to see the train wreck about to occur, but because, it IS a train wreck about to occur, looks back up. Akira tries to tame the situation by telling them to calm down. (More like Tsukasa should calm down because right now? Rui seems very sure of himself.)
Tsukasa asks Rui what did he do to Makino at the hospital and Soujirou automatically interjects, asking Tsukasa why he knows about it. Tsukasa repeats himself, only his voice is louder now. Rui almost SMIRKS (I could see it coming), but he holds it back as he asks simply, "Are you mad that I kissed her?" Tsukasa's eyes go wide for asecond there and he LUNGES at Rui. He tries to punch him twice, but Rui manages to dodge both and when Tsukasa goes for a third, Rui blocks him and then PUNCHES him with his left fist. Tsukasa flies back, gripping onto the ledge for support, while Akira looks on in concern and Soujirou is looking down, seeming to have decided to avoid the train wreck.

Tsukasa turns to look at Rui, obviously surprised by this turn of events. What? You thought Rui'd stand there and take the hitting? Soujirou is back and looking at the scene and Rui ANGRILY (Yowch, never thought those words would ever be together) snaps at Tsukasa, "I'm the one who wants to ask you!" Tsukasa stands, although very hesitatntly as the camera now focuses on a pissed-off Rui who is still hot... but even HOTTER because, well, he's angry. And apparently? Angry Rui = HOT x 1000. XP I digress. His voice turns unexpectedly gentle as he asks Tsukasa, "What the heck are you thinking?" Tsukasa still has stunned written all over his face, as well as pained and all we see is him breathe and then look down. He manages to ask Rui if he's serious... He stops there, we get a shot of Rui breathing, and then back to Tsukasa who repeats his question but adds in "about her." Rui looks determined as he says, "I'm serious" and we move to Soujirou who looks at Rui after those words as a "tring" goes off in the background. Then Akira looks at Rui, who seems to realize that Rui IS serious. We go back to Rui whose look makes my insides goo and then there's this staring match between Tsukasa and Rui before we move to Makino who's furiously erasing at some sheet.
Like I said... Staring match. And would I miss a hot Rui picture moment? Nooooo. Plus, Tsukasa's looking quite fetching as well, with his pained, "I'm so hurt that you'd betray me" look. There's something strange that THAT is how I interpret these pictures.
The proctor's pacing and Makino looks up, trying to think and we move onto credits.
I may have been luke-warm to this new opening song. But I pretty much LOVE it now. The opening is good too, but I LOVED the first one so much more. Especially its ending. The part where Makino and Tsukasa are mock fighting and she's still all fidgety around Rui? Gah. Much love. Anyway. Back to the show! The proctor tells Makino to stop and she puts down her sheet, seeming to just have been looking over her answers. She's talking to someone and tells them that she's finally finished and it's all because of "you." And it's because he convinced them to give her a retake. Then she thanks him. We see that she's talking to Rui over the phone as she stands in her special spot, the fire escape, while he is sitting by his window. He asks her if she wants to have an early celebration and Makino tells him that she can't relax until she finds out that she passed. He tells her that she pushed herself so hard to the point of collapsing, so he thinks she'll be fine. Makino's still a little reluctant and she goes, "I hope so..." Then she tells him that she'll treat HIM for once and at first, Rui tells her not to force herself. But she insists and tells him that it won't be some fancy place that they all go to, and if that's okay. Rui grins, seeming happy to just be going out to eat with her and agrees.
We transfer to Tsukasa who's on HIS cell phone, riding in his car to some place and we hear him say "Got it" and that he has something to tell "you" too. We see Shigeru who is hanging up her phone, so I guess it was her that Tsukasa was talking to. Wait, we KNOW it's her because she repeats his words, wondering what he's going to say. Tsukasa hangs up and looks out his window and the memory of Rui and his fight comes back. We see, once again, Tsukasa asking Rui if he's serious and Rui's answer that he is. The staring match is back, and apparently Tsukasa blinked first because he's the one to speak, "You gotta be kidding me." Rui tells him that he's kidding no one and Tsukasa doesn't believe him. He tells Rui to cut the crap (almost desparately too). Rui says to Tsukasa that he wasn't going to say anything, since Tsukasa's his friend after all (glad he remembered that). He thought that as long as things were going smooth between them, he was okay with it. He reminds Tsukasa that he told him back then too.
Oh look! Convenient clip from Season One after that BIG fight between the F4 and Rui is telling Tsukasa, back then, that if anything happens (bad between Tsukasa and Makino), Rui won't hold himself back. You know, for a series that didn't know they were going to go into a second season, they sure do foreshadow mightly well. And might I add that Rui looking bloody and wounded there is FREAKING HOT. I know, I know. I've said that he's hot and yummy throughout this, but seriously. There's something about IT! Wow, this fan-girling must drive some of you readers mad. XP Tsukasa seems to remember those words and Rui keeps talking in his low, rumbly voice about how Tsukasa ditched her for a year, then came back with a girlfriend and was even engaged. "After crushing her feelings like that, don't come back now and act like her f****** boyfriend!!" HEEE! HE CURSED!! OOOOOH. POTTY MOUTH. "Right now, Tsukasa, you're the lowest jerk." Tsukasa looks angry at this, although it seems kinda "muted" for loss of words, and we get a shot of Soujirou, looking at Rui, almost resigned to what he knows is going to happen and Akira who looks at Tsukasa, worried about what the heck is going to happen.
Tsukasa struggles to breathe, obviously shaken and he starts to walk away. Rui breathes in, licks his lips and stares at some point in the wall, counting in his head. Okay, so I'm guessing, but whatever. The counting, by the way Rui? Is a little late. People usually do that BEFORE they snap so that they DON'T snap. We see Tsukasa approach a potted plant and he bends over to grab it, then FLINGS it over the ledge! o.O He could've KILLED someone like that! The students start screaming (I'd've been OUT that door by now) and some are just running around like trapped rats. Except they're not, trapped. Rats? Debatable. Tsukasa stomps down the stairs and once he reaches the ground floor, starts beating up whoever is closest (which all happen to be male, just a note). Akira moves towards him, calling out Tsukasa's name and Soujirou stops him. Soujirou says to forget it and that Tsukasa's unstoppable now. Akira looks concerned and we see Rui looking down in silence. Out of guilt? Who knows what's running through his head. That burst was really a new one for Rui, I think. We go back to Tsukasa who has just flung a kid over his shoulder and onto a table. We can see TIG in the background there, and I kinda wish he'd've like slapped one of them. That'd've been fun... XP Tsukasa SCREAMS at the top of his lungs, just like he did in his room last episode.
The last shot is of his eyes and the camera then moves to the photo of Tsukasa that hung in the lunchroom. We see Makino walk into the lounge and she's in AWE of the sheer damage that has occurred. I'd be too. She asks, "What is this?" Although, that IS a fairly silly question. So obvious that like, a T-Rex came by and stomped on the grounds and then left. Duh. Soujirou, who we can hear walking down stairs (but not see), tells Makino that Tsukasa threw a fit. T-Rex, Tsukasa. Same difference. Soujirou is with Akira as they reach Makino who asks, "Domyouji did?" No, Rui. ...Not as believable, is it? Akira gets snippy
and tells Makino that if she doesn't make clear what her feelings are right now, it's going to get uglier later on. And they're the ones who have to "wipe his ass." .... Why, oh why did you use that phrase? Also, HASN'T she? Numerous times to Tsukasa. We all know this. They're called their ANGSTY moments. All fans hate them because Makino keeps having to repeat her good-byes. XP Anyway, Akira tells her to not forget that. He stomps out like the prissy princess he was brought up to be and Soujirou tries to tame the situation by telling Makino not to let Akira bother her. Wow, strange. HE'S acting as the mediator? That's different. Soujirou explains that Akira had to give advice to Shigeru too and so he's in an awkward situation. I still don't understand why Shigeru went to Akira first. I will NOT let go of this until we get answers. Anyway, Makino goes "I see..." And Soujirou asks Makino to step outside for a minute. On a random note, I usually DON'T like fur too much, but Soujirou works that jacket WAY too well! @.@ Damn. Wardrobe must LOVE him.
So we hear Shigeru calling out, "Over here!" and she's meeting up with Tsukasa, it seems. She asks, "What happened to that scar?" and Tsukasa just tells her nothing. The word, not silence. We move scenes and we hear Soujirou going, quite loudly, "Are you serious? I used to go near that place a lot as a kid. The place where she's staying at right now." Oooooh, more foreshadowing. At least this time it's WITHIN the same season. So we actually see Makino and Soujirou and Soujirou's on top of his motorcycle, about to leave while Makino's standing off to the side. Makino comments on how that's so weird since there's no rich neighborhoods near there and doesn't match him at all. LOL. I'll say. Soujirou chuckles a little and Makino goes, "Huh?" He tells her that she finally laughed and when she goes "Eh?" He explains that she isn't herself when she's depressed. ...Hmm... Sound familiar? *coughSHIGERUcough* She smiles a little then thanks him. He tells her to forget about stupid pride (which will never happen). Makino smiles again and switches tracks to match-making mode, pats the spot behind him, and tells Soujirou that he should let Yuki sit there and take her to the beach or something. Soujirou tells her that he doesn't give girls rides and she disbelievingly goes, "No way!" He says that it's the truth and puts on his star helmet. She hmms and looks on as Soujirou fastens the helmet. He turns to face her after the task is done and tells her that she's only got one chance in life and then he taps her on the forehead. And then he drives away. Way to have the last word.

So we switch tracks and Shigeru is asking Tsukasa when is he going to say something. Well, if this is ANYTHING like your other dates, then never. So don't hold your breath. She points out that they're on a date, after all. Tsukasa stutters as he tries to approach the topic of yesterday, and Shigeru tries to brush it aside by telling him that it's fine and it doesn't bother her at all. She says it so nonchalantly too that it throws Tsukasa off. Shigeru explains that she knows that he still has feelings for Makino and that they started dating under that condition, after all. Then she says that she doesn't want him to fall in love with HER so easily either. He's confused (as are most of the viewers because Shigeru's like... a nutcase sometimes) and asks her what that's supposed to mean. She answers that it'd be like he fell for every pretty girl that came his way and that would make her worry in the long run. Well, makes sense, I suppose. She makes a comment about how marriage lasts a long time and how she likes that he goes after something whole-heartedly. And that he did say that he was going to try and love her, so... she's expecting it'll take some time. Well, logical. Just not reasonable. Tsukasa starts to go, "But..." and Shigeru takes this and asks him if he had sex with Makino after that?! He tells her to be quiet (which is true because, dude, embarrassing question to Tsukasa the virgin.) She moans that that's harsh and even she'd have a hard time accepting that. He snaps at her to stop jumping to conclusions and she asks him if he didn't. He tells her, "Of course not, not in a place like that." She tells him to tell her before he does... which implies that she thinks he's going to jump Makino's bones sometime soon... XP He goes "As if I'll say it" and Shigeru asks if that means he's going to do it. Tsukasa complains that that's not what he meant and Shigeru sighs that she's starting to worry.
She leans back and looks at some point, points and goes, "Hey, it's Tsukushi!" Tsukasa jumps out of his chair to see if Makino was really there and Shigeru grins and goes, "Just kidding." and does like... spirit fingers. LOL. He huffs and sits back down while Shigeru giggles at her having fooled Tsukasa. Believe me, not that much of an achievement. He asks her what she's thinking and she tells him that she's always only thinking of him... which causes him to smile a little? Awww... He likes the thought of people thinking of him. She notices and goes "Grin!" Like saying the word and doing the action. Oh, god.
We're with Makino and ...Rui! And she's saying that it looks like things were a bit rough there. The lounge, I'm assuming. Rui tells her that he guesses he went on a tirade and said things he wanted to without thinking. She asks, "Things you wanted to?" He explains that he realized a few things about himself as he was yelling at Tsukasa. He leans on his hand and muses, "I wonder when it started..." Makino asks, "When what?" and sorry... but you led yourself into this corner. Rui looks at her, smiling and says quite simply, "When I started liking you." Wow, when he's forward, HE'S FORWARD. Makino, likely feeling uncomfortable, asks him what he's talking about and that he already has Shizuka. He grins and then talks about how she cries, laughs, get angry and that after seeing her with so many emotions, he thought she was a little annoying at first. LOL! (BTW? Season 1 Rui was QUITE hot. I so need to rewatch this series.) So we're getting various clips of Season 1, just so you all know. He continues on that after seeing her work so hard in life, he guesses something changed within me. (We get a clip of Rui leaning in to kiss her during Season 1 that I cannot remember for the LIFE of me! @.@ I SO need to rewatch.) And yes, something has changed with Rui. I will hold to that thought.
Rui goes on to explain that he used to be indifferent towards everything, but after meeting her, he began to change slowly inside and hanging out with her started to become normal. We get a shot of Makino, staring down, really LISTENING to his words. Well, I think/hope she is. Rui says that he would start to feel lonely without her. He goes on with his speech about how when she went to New York, he had been laughing with Soujirou and Akira, imagining her tripping somewhere by herself... which I can totally see. But before he realized it, he was standing in front of her in New York. I so wanna see what he was thinking when he decided to run off become a knight in white. XP Anyway, Makino looks at Rui as he confesses again that he guesses he does like her after all.
We hear their boss say, "Of course he does!" and we see that Makino is with Yuki, leaning against the display case, thinking? So the boss continues and talks about how if your first love suddenly turns around and tells you that he loves you, it'd be a shock like no other, but... Makino interrupts telling her to speak a little simpler and the boss changes tracks and turns to Makino, telling her that love is not something that sprouts overnight. True. Although with the stories you see sometimes, that's totally what happens, but I digress. She says the fact that Rui loves her is nothing strange at all. I think so too,
actually. She tells Makino that what's important is who does SHE love more. Yes, I TOTALLY agree! Then the boss makes a comment about how "I honestly don't want to get involved with him anymore" which, what? Whatever, Yuki comments that Makino can't forget about Tsukasa that easily and Makino tells her that she's already put an end to everything concerning Tsukasa OVER AND OVER. Which she has. And that she honestly doesn't want to get involved with him anymore. The boss asks if that's what she really feels and Makino tells her that she thinks Tsukasa should marry Shigeru and make himself happy. Mind you, throughout this, we see Tsukasa walking down some paths or another.
So now we're focusing on Tsukasa who's walking down the sidewalk, clutching at his jacket as though he's cold. Where's that SCARF?! I mean you wore it before (although it didn't seem to help much then), but you're still shivering? Gah. So he looks sideways and sees something familiar/curious and oh, look! It's Susumu, sitting on a bench at some kid's playground. Tsukasa goes "Huh?" and we cut forward slightly and Tsukasa is exclaiming, "LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT??!!" Heh. Susumu jumps up and tells him to please not say it so loud! Tsukasa looks around, wondering who would be interested in that news... I kid. I kid. He asks Susumu where? And the young boy tells him at the testing site. Turns out Susumu DIDN'T have everything after all. He ended up forgetting to bring his eraser. ...What kind of pencils do YOU have? All my pencils always have erasers on them. Anyway, Susumu's a mix between panicked and crazy. XP Seriously. He starts rocking in his chair, asking himself OUT-LOUD what he's going to do. The girl next to him notices, not really a surprise, and offers one of her erasers... because she has two. Convenient! He smiles at her, then thanks her. She nods and smiles back.
We jump forward again, the test is done, and we see Girl walking out in the hallway. Susumu catches up to her and thanks her again. The two carry on a conversation about the test and if the school was their first choice or not. It's kinda cute, considering how awkward Susumu must've been. She tells him that she hopes they both pass and that just did it for him. We're back to Tsukasa and Susumu... Lovingly nicknamed Tsusumu now! Because they have a ton of scenes together and I'm bound to get lazy. So we're back to Tsusumu and he's like ...giving him a noogie? Except not? Petting him? I seriously don't know what this "action" would be called, but Tsukasa's teasing Susumu about thinking about love and calls him a little rascal. Heh. Susumu begs Tsukasa to keep this a secret from Makino and Tsukasa tells him he gets it. Tsukasa tries to get as much information from Susumu about Girl and turns out? Susumu knows ZIP. XP No name, no school. Susumu's all dejected here, and Tsukasa notices. He asks Susumu if he fell for her that hard and Susumu bears open his heart to tell Tsukasa that this is the first time he's felt like this. This causes Tsukasa to become determined for Susumu's plight. So... He tells Susumu that they'll make a plan, "a secret plan between two guys." Heh.
I think we both NEED and deserve an image break, don't you think? Tsusumu bonding. ^_^
Now Tsusumu are at the apartment and Tsukasa is talking about how Girl will have definitely be there when the results come out. Note if you will that Tsukasa currently has his arm around Susumu and is clutching a cup with his other arm and they're currently sitting down on the floor. Just so you know. And because it amuses me to no end. Tsukasa tells Susumu that he's going to get there early and wait for her. Ooooh, smart. Tsukasa knows waiting better than ANYBODY! Next, Tsukasa says that he's to approach her as soon as she comes. Wow, this plan? EXTREMELY LOTS OF THOUGHT PUT INTO IT. ~_~;; As soon as he says that, Tsukasa moves to take a drink, but Susumu interrupts him when he exclaims, "Eh?! As soon as?!" Tsukasa explains that he doesn't want to lose sight of her which prompts Susumu to ask if he confesses to her then? Tsukasa puts down his cup and then smacks Tsusumu on the head. "Of course!" he says, as though it ISN'T a scary thing to confess to the girl you like. Well, for Tsukasa, it wouldn't be.
Tsukasa gets up and goes towards the window... Don't have a clue why, he just does. And Susumu asks, "Not after we pass the test and we're both in high school?" Tsukasa tells him that it's like the saying, "Ben should be done quickly!" ... There's this joke about poo and well, I really don't want to type it. Tsukasa starts laughing, as he often does at his own mistakes, and calls Susumu a dirty guy. This leads Tsukasa to worry more about Susumu's test results than the confession. LOL. Dude, you're mistaking your own stupidity for others. ~_~ Stop projecting. I do that ENOUGH. Don't need a character doing it as well. Susumu looks worried as well and wonders if Girl passed as well and that maybe he shouldn't confess to her so suddenly. Ooooh, and then Tsukasa trumps him by asking if he thinks that the girl he loves is an idiot to which Susumu denies. He's about to say something after, but Tsukasa interrupts telling Susumu that once he loses sight of her, he loses everything. ...Is he speaking from experience? I THINK SO!
Once again, Tsukasa has gone over to the boy and put his arm around him and is now looking into his eyes with determination! No, I am NOT trying to push Tsusumu slash. Maybe a little. Only because it's funny. Susumu nods, a little shaky... But that could be due to Tsukasa's proximity. XP Tsukasa makes a point to tell Susumu that since HE fell in love with Girl at first sight, she's bound to be popular once school starts and then he won't stand a chance. LOL! Okay, that was too good. He's trying to pump Susumu up, but he insults him at the same time. NICE one. I think we all should take lessons from Tsukasa on how to encourage someone, yet insult them in the same breath. It must be a nice tactic every now and then. Susumu doesn't see it my way, however, and instead seems to be listening intently to TSukasa's words. Tsukasa shifts a little and at one point, came a LITTLE too close. But I digress. Tsukasa tells Susumu to be more confident and that he's the brother of the girl he's recognized so he'll definitely be all right. Sweet words... I mean it. No romantic thoughts here! (Especially since he mentioned Makino. Spoil sport.)
Susumu's STILL dejected and wonders if he really will be all right. Tsukasa lies down on the floor as he tells Susumu that he's nowhere close to what Tsukasa has, but he has plenty. ~_~;; We're back to encourage/insult again, I see. He says to Susumu to put his effort into this and to do his best. Susumu joins him in lying down and the two are just leaning against said floor, looking at each other. Susumu asks if it's okay to give her a love letter and Tsukasa breaks their eye contact by lying flat on his back, making a note on how Susumu seems to be old-fashioned. Susumu, wanting to imitate nearly all aspects of Tsukasa, copies Tsukasa's pose. LOL. Very cute.
I could NOT resist! They're so cute. And Susumu so idolizes Tsukasa.
When Susumu hears what Tsukasa says, he asks if that means he can't, but Tsukasa assures him that it might work. He leans on his elbow again and tells Susumu to write one, he'll check it. Susumu's utterly pleased by all this and nods. Tsukasa is also quite glad and smiles at the boy.
We switch tracks and we're looking on at MFH (mother from Hell) who's reading a newspaper about how the Domyouji Group's profit is decreasing. She's currently on the phone telling some person that she got it and that she'll be back soon. She hangs up and sighs and we see that she's looking at the computer scene of what looks to be a very wavering line, until we get to the end and it's just plain decreasing. Nishida, who apparently was there this entire time, suggests that they close the New York Branch. She tells him that that's out of the question and closes the program that held the image. He pardons himself and is about to leave when MFH calls for him, talking about how Tsukasa hasn't come home. She tells him that she told him to keep his eye on Tsukasa. Nishida apologizes and asks if he's to return to Japan. He sounds surprised when MFH tells him for that week, yes and to keep a close eye on him for that week. She flips open her cell phone and... She's talking to Shigeru?! On a random note, is it just me or irony that MFH just HAPPENS to have a CROSS (bejeweled and whatnot) hanging from her phone? Seriously! These writers are talking to me, aren't they? First, the whole Soujirou speaking in English. And now? MFH
has a cross on her phone? It's like, "Look! She's religious. She's not from hell! Stop typing MFH." XP Or you know, I could be reading into this too much. LOL.
For PROOF. Because we all want to see that cross.
So MFH asks if it's possible to see her today and Nishida looks surprised for the second time. (Even IF his eyes give away basically nothing.) So we're in... Tokyo Tower? I'm guessing. She's asking Shigeru, obviously despite the fact that we haven't seen her, if things are goin well between her and Tsukasa. Shigeru lies and says, "Yes!" quite enthusiastically, as though THAT'LL turn things around. LOL. I'm reaching again. Anyway, MFH tries to "smooth" things over and says that she knows he must give Shigeru a lot of trouble, (A level BEYOND a lot of trouble, if such a thing even exists.) but to please take care of him. Shigeru smiles and continues to ... stir the pot? Then MFH wishes them the best for their wedding from the bottom of your heart. ...That's rather difficult, since... well, you don't HAVE a heart. XP I digress. Shigeru adds in that her father is hoping for the wedding as well which prompts MFH to ask if he's not be angry over the other night. Shigeru assures her not to worry since he wasn't at all. Shigeru grabs some food and asks, "This is delicious, isn't it?" What? MFH gives Shigeru a look that says, "WTF are you ON?! O.O" Or I could be reaching again. As always.
So we're now with Susumu who's writing his love letter! And you can see that he's done some work already. Crumpled papers beside him, convenient eraser... left-overs? Whatever that's called. He's writing away when Makino arrives. Immediately, Susumu starts taking all the crumpled papers and hiding them where he can which is underneath his sweater. LOL. She asks what he's doing and he tells her nothing... Again, the word, not the action. Makino leans in and asks him about his exam and if he did well. He says that he did and Makino sighs in relief. She gets up and asks if he's hungry and that she'll make dinner soon. Susumu nods, trying to wipe off the table of the eraser shreddings as though THAT'LL reveal everything that he's been doing. Makino sees the cup Tsukasa had used and asks if someone came by, then she moves to grab it. Immediately, Susumu grabs at it and tells her nobody was there, then stumbles with cup in hand into the kitchen. Makino's disbelieving, but doesn't say a word.
