They could've done so much more for Derek and his storyline instead of leaving him in this sort of hell where he's never happy and he does not deserve that at all. He was a victim of so much hate and just having him this messed up psyche & making so many mistakes where he doesn't grow better as a person or where his pack doesn't push him to be a better person (ie STILES) leaves me so so so disappointed with the writers. Also the way they left Kira out. Yeah. No. Not the right way to treat an Asian person nor a leading female. Screw that. Kira's story has so much potential to bring in all the Japanese culture into it and even crossover into Korean/Chinese to bring something fun and interesting and unique to the show where it's taking place in a state that has a huge population of Asians. idk. I just think the realms of possibility could've been explored more before going into different tangets but that's what fanfic is for.

and YES to the je hate meme being more playful jokes about the boys. Seriously, jun!bait brought in so many fans and the dorky friendship of the boys or the playful rivalries or the fun times of JE that I wish KPop showed more at the time and is starting to really show and capitolize on. All these collaborations would've been awesome. I seriously want RyoPin singing with half of TOKIO & Tackey all while wearing glasses with dead fish eyes on them and tin hats. because. reasons.

They never really treated their characters well enough, writing wise. Like, all they ever wanted was misery for them, because that drama is where it gets "interesting." except in exchange for all this interesting drama, they got rid of one of the essential things you need in a show, which is showing character growth. How did these events help shape characters? how are they moving from point a to point b? what are they gaining? and from what i can tell, absolutely fucking nothing.

and YES. what they did to kira was a crying shame. we finally had more females on that cast, it was almost like equal in gender i think? and you have this great asian representative. you brought in like, what, one japanese creature and then you stop? ARE YOU KIDDING ME, there was a DEEP DEEP DEEP WELL of supernatural creatures. just in japan alone! and i say this with confidence BECAUSE I HAD TO RESEARCH THIS SHIT FOR A FIC, AND IT WAS REALLY HARD TO NARROW DOWN GODS. So, no, you have no fucking excuse, and i really hope your show goes to such shit, because you do not deserve it. :////////////

Ugh, I hated the misery. I really love character growth which is probably why I never really got hooked into Teen Wolf. I want that growth and self-discovery and how a character reacts and responds in times of adversity. The story was interesting for a hot second when they did backstory as to how the Derek got to be where he is at that point in time but really, I want happy things for Derek. I do not want misery for all the characters all the time.

OH AND ON JE. what i really wish is that japan was more accepting of outside their own nation fandoms. like why is it so strange to them to share their material with us. i just want to be able to stream their things on youtube. watch their shows on netflix or hulu (more hulu because that's what we have), or whatever. I'M JUST SO SAD THIS WHOLE WEALTH OF FUCKING MATERIAL CANNOT BE AS ACCESSIBLE AS LIKE KOREAN DRAMAS. (sorry, super tangent lol)

SAME HERE re: korean vs japanese availability (altho that has a lot to do with Japanese consumers actually being about to support J's industry, which is not as true for Korea, I think I heard) but can you pls watch Terrace House on Netflix Kami? THIS. SO MUCH THIS. And how the idols are slowly coming out and say that they are dating without fear of fan backlash and all that jazz. Because some want to be married and yay for fans being accepting that idols are people who just want to be in love and have a family too. I cannot wait until Sungmin is back from the military and he can have beautiful SuJu babies with his wife. *ALL THE HEART EYES*

IT IS SO MUCH EFFORT TO DL, that said, i recently got back into watching all the JE vids, and although yes, all the arashi sub groups do require all those damn essays, it was actually pretty easy after that. It takes a few days to get in, but there's one comm in particular that does the majority of the subbing.
