[#116] My life's a sitcom

i. Well, only in this first point, because in general, my life is boring. But, ohmygod, there is a turf war going on at work. AND IT IS HYSTERICAL. You see, C and I recently (within the past few months) became friends with these two co-workers. Until then, we'd pretty much steered clear of the break room, because we hated having to interact with all the people there. But with the addition of the two new girls, it became more fun to hang around there. Except, we realized that there was always a regular group that went in around 1PM. The break room, however, is pretty damn small with only two tables that fits about 8 people. For the first few weeks of us having lunch together, we tried to get their earlier so that we could be considerate. But shit happens, and sometimes, we just can't go to lunch early and so our time would spill into theirs. No big deal, right?

Well, about two weeks ago, our friends had taken us out drinking the day before we were to leave. And one of our bar stops was this place, Blackstones. C and I had dinner so we couldn't stay long, but ofc, W and J-I got us drinks. Beers in particular. W had gotten them for us, but it took a while before she got them to us, which we hadn't really thought anything of. But we discovered otherwise. Apparently, she had run into one of our co-workers--one of the ladies in the regular group--with a friend. And she had snapped at W and been like, "what the hell are you doing here? And with them?!" It turns out cow!C had "claimed" that bar for herself. She's apparently gone there so many times that people even associate her with that bar. Like, IT'S GOTTEN THAT FAR.

So after that, after she saw us there, she's been making snide remarks at us. In particular last Thursday when C and the girls were having lunch in the break room. The other group got there, but most of the chairs were already taken, leaving no room for cow!C. C/girls were pretty much finishing off so they decided to get up and leave. Except one of cow!C's group friends (a coworker that we all like essentially) was like, "Oh, don't leave! It's okay." But then cow!C went "don't do that. it's not like they talk to us." >.> Like, really? Was that necessary? I mean, we're not friends, there's no need for us to talk to her/them. We say, hi. What else is needed? >.>

Anyway, J-I is leaving next week so ofc, we're going out for drinks. At Blackstones. Because we're petty too. XD

ii. So the drama that everyone's missing out on, probably because it sounds super weird. Risou no Musuko. I watched the first episode a few days ago and it is brilliant. I CANNOT EVEN. This drama is hysterical and kind of touching and all sorts of fabulous. If you haven't heard, this drama is about a perfect son who transfers schools to a more delinquent one because his mother starts working there as a lunch lady. He has a bit of a mother complex "I love my mom" (a little too much) problem. But his mother is more concerned with making sure she'll always be his #1 because she wants to be well taken care of when she gets older. (And because she wants a house.) And so, there's a bit of manipulation on her side. I think this is possibly the creepiest thing of the drama. Well, that and the random moments when her heart beats a little faster because of her son, WHICH IS SO WRONG, I CAN'T EVEN.

All that aside, Yamada as the perfect son is A++. I already think Yamada does a really good job acting-wise, but the comedic timing and the earnestness of his character. The way he's still pretty strong of a character and doesn't fold too easily, I love it all. (Also, Yamada's kind of hot in here. I can't even lie. There are points when I go, holy shit, how old are you again, Yamada? >.>) I have always been a family-first kind of person, so I can totally get behind Yamada's character. I understand how he wants to pay her back because she really has had to work hard to raise him, there was struggle and there was a lot of shit she had to go through. So yeah, I can totally see where he's going with everything (although, not stepping on her photo was kind of...um. it's just a photo, dude). I just find it completely believable. Well, for the most part anyway. lolol

As for Fujigaya and Nakajima. Fujigaya hasn't had much to go off of, but Nakajima kind of makes me roll my eyes. His character kind of is super pathetic that it hurts my SOUL. It's that bad. I just keep wanting him to grow some damn balls. That's all.

Also awesome? KOALA PUNCH. AHAHAHAHAHA. NO SERIOUSLY. I LOLED OFF MY ASS WHEN I SAW THAT. ♥♥♥

I CANNOT WAIT UNTIL EPISODE 2. *________________*

iii. SMAPxSMAP - actors/actresses round table talk. now subbed over here!!!! I can't even talking about how much I adored this. I have always loved actors/actresses relationships (not even romantic, friendships) and this was beautiful. Essentially there was a collection of actors/actresses (SMAP included) and they discussed their own personal responses to the top 10 questions that fans always wanted to know the answer to. BEST PERSON THERE WAS BY FAR TAKEUCHI YUKO. *__________* Both because of what she had to say but also because of how the others interacted with her. Like, say, Kusanagi confessing to her right there. And then Shingo doing so afterwards and Tsuyoshi blocking Shingo's view of her and telling him to quit it. OHMYGOD SO AWESOME. *________* I could go on and on about how much love this was, but I think it deserves a watch. SO GO NOW. ♥♥♥

P.S. Discovered my first love is married and has a child. Um. Consider my mind blown.
P.P.S. If you haven't listened to/watched A.B.C.-Z's Suna no Glass, you are MISSING OUT. *_________*

takeuchi yuko is the best ever, relationships in the entertainment busin, why are people so stupid?, a video you all must watch
