I've been on this semi-hiatus for the past... ALMOST A WEEK. (damn it, so close.) But noooooo, a fancam of their 8 minute PV for Don't U Ever Stop came out and I had to work like hell to get that damn video to load. The first streaming video of it was such fail on my school computer. It took about 30 minutes to load twelve seconds. I was so pissed

"There's not exactly somewhere to sit," Jin said, trying to sound calmer than he actually felt.
She tittered, covering her hand with her mouth, and sat back - whether it was an actual chair or not, Jin wasn't sure. "We're one in the same, you know," she said softly, turning a small crystal ball in her fingers.
Jin snorted, just as a something came crashing into him from behind and he fell back, hitting onto something solid. He reached back, but felt nothing against his fingers. Half turning, he realized he was sitting on air. "Did you do that?" he asked, sucking in his breath as he turned back to face her.
"Unless you did without knowing."
Jin pursed his lips. "Why am I here?"
"Because I've been waiting for you." Her eyes glowed, a brightly white than before. "A person with the power of wind, one with the drive to take what is rightfully his."
"And what's rightfully mine?"
"This country, this world. It's all meant for someone with power and strength, not that frail little Princess we have on the throne." She stood up and sashayed towards Jin, leaning over to rest her hands on his chest. "You are the one I've been waiting for."
Jin laughed roughly. "You've got the wrong person." He removed her hands from him, pushing her away. "I'm only here to bring you back to Tegoshi and that's all."
Her eyes flared. "Don't say that name in front of me!" she hissed angrily, flinging an arm out. A gust of wind hit Jin squarely on the chest, blowing him back off the air!chair.
To Jin, the world turned black once more. When he opened his eyes again, Jin felt hands holding him up and light came flooding back. "Where did you go?" Taguchi asked.
Jin sucked in a breath. "I'm not sure."
The woman in white appeared in front of them without notice. "I misjudged you," she growled, pointing a finger at Jin's. "Anyone that uses that name fondly isn't any ally of mine."
Jin rolled his eyes, shaking off Taguchi's and Nakamaru's hands - the ones holding him up. "I didn't want to be your ally anyway."
"What'd she do, promise you power and position?" Taguchi asked with a snort.
"Un," Jin sighed. "Been there, done that."
"And you fell for it the first time," Kame retorted.
Jin felt his stomach plunge, but his eyes never left the woman. "I never accepted, don't keep to incorrect conclusions," he growled. There was a small laugh near him, just a small one, but Jin had heard it - he just didn't know who it was from.
Before Jin could figure it out, he watched as the female's eyes flared once more and the sound of a crystal ball shattered sent a gust of wind against the six guys. All fell back, some landing against the ground and other smacking into walls nearby.
"Forget it! I can take on the Princess's guards on my own, starting with this rag-tag group of wizards," she hissed, another gust of wind slamming them against the nearest surface.
"God, she's as annoying as you are," Kame growled in Jin's direction.
Jin rolled his eyes as he struggled to put up a barrier to counter-act her wind. "Hearing you say that, of all people, is the most annoying of all. Especially when you're the most annoying of us all," Jin said dryly. He finally managed to put up a barrier, one that was only big enough for him and Kame since Kame was the only one close enough.
Kame barked out a laugh. "Only annoying to you." When Jin turned to look at him, he was a little startled to see that there wasn't any malice, maybe mild annoyance in Kame's eyes, but no malice. The one thing that Jin had been worried about the most. "Let's get her?"
Jin nodded, feeling his heart pounding in his chest. "Yeah, let's get her."

So yes, a hint of past that i was trying to set up. Um, Kame may have bent really quickly at the end, but.. um... he wasn't the biggest problem?? XPPPP I'm not sure. I'll have to fix that up. Really, Kame wasn't as mad as Jin thought he was? In my head, everyone's kinda understood what really happened in the past, and only Koki's angry that Jin left so easily. a;lskdjfalskdjf Right. That's what I THINK. a;sldkfjaslkd I DON'T KNOW anymore. T.t

I'd assumed that Kame wasn't as mad at Jin as Jin thought he was. maybe Kame just needed that last bit cleared up and to hear it from Jin's own lips. that's what i figured.

When Jin looks over to the other guys to see how they were doing, he's pleased to see that the other two pairs have it under control. Taguchi had gotten the water flowing from the bar and created a size-able barrier for him and Koki, while Ueda's electric sparks made one for him and Nakamaru. Their eyes meet and they nod to each other, fighting forward despite the fact that her winds only get stronger.
A shattering noise echoes through the empty club, and they stumble forward, without the winds that they'd been fighting against subside. Jin lifts his head to find her, but she was no longer where she'd been standing.
"What in the-" are the words that come out of Koki's mouth before everyone sees him fly through Taguchi's water barrier, effectively breaking it and sending the water splattering down to the floor. Taguchi's yell is the next thing they hear as he joins Koki down on the floor, feet away from where they'd been standing.
It's a flash of an eye, but Jin manages to catch her standing there with something solid and obviously cloudy white in her hands. He sees a bolt of electricity come down in her spot, but she's gone before it can hit her, leaving a scorch mark in its spot.
"Fuck!" Ueda growls, and Jin swallows when Ueda's the next struck. He's pushed against a wall and Jin can see a faint cut along his back.
"Jin, this is your element!" Kame hisses when Jin can't do anything, but watch.
JIn fiddles with his hands, trying to think. "Hers is different! She can manipulate the wind into something solid. I can only move them around, but they go their own course."
"Predict her movements," Kame tells him. "Listen."
Taguchi was trying to protect Ueda sending bursts of water at his sides, but never hitting anything solid. Koki runs across the room, trying to get Ueda out of whatever's pinning him against the wall, but his hands only knock into air - solid, but his hands just pass through it after a second.
Jin hears something cutting through air before it actually happens, and the next thing he knows Nakamaru is hissing in pain, clutching his shoulder. Kame rushes past Jin and tries to help Nakamaru's wound. Jin can't figure out just how they can fight someone that's not exactly there, but there all the same. He manages to catch it again, the noise of something cutting through air and this time, Kame manages to step back enough that his hat is the only thing that takes the damage, flying off his head and landing somewhere on the floor behind him.
"Koki! Move to your right!" Jin yells, and without fail, Koki moves. Everyone can hear the noise this time as she misses her target completely, the wind sword hitting the wall right by Ueda. "Taguchi, aim for that spot now!"
It's a little startling that his former (are they still former now?) friends are listening to him without question, but Jin is more than glad for it as Taguchi's water hits something obviously solid, knocking the woman in white off balance. Koki acts quickly, his vines tangling up the female's feet, keeping her rooted to the ground. Taguchi manages to keep her hands in small bubbles, so as to prevent her from doing anything with her hands.
Whatever was holding Ueda against the wall fails and within seconds, he falls back, gasping for air.
"Did... did we get her?" Jin asks, stunned.
"Yup!" Taguchi says happily, turning to give Jin a pleased look. "We knocked the wind out of her~"
Jin raises his eyebrow, but chuckles a little to appease him at least a little. "I think we just might have."

They quickly find that as difficult as it was to defeat the woman in white, it's proving to be rather difficult to get her to Tegoshi.
"We cannot keep her hands in a water bubble the entire time!" Kame insists, giving Taguchi a worried look. Taguchi returns it with an easy smile, but even Jin could tell the strain it was taking on Taguchi, and Koki for that matter, to keep their prisoner captive.
Luckily for them, the club doors open and Tegoshi walks through, Ryo following behind him. "Look what the cat dragged in," Jin quickly snorts at the sight of Ryo.
Ryo throws him a dirty look. "I'm more surprised you're still walking. You actually survived the mission?"
The other guys throw Jin a confused look, considering the last time they'd seen Ryo, it hadn't been under good circumstances. "Tegoshi, what are you going to do about..." Nakamaru asks, jerking a head towards the woman who was glaring darkly at the newcomer.
Tegoshi preens. "I knew asking you guys to do this would work out well."
"Why didn't you just do it yourself?" Ueda snaps, still wincing even though Jin and Kame had done their best in trying to mend his wounds on his back.
"I'm only one person," Tegoshi says with a pout.
"You have more powers than any of us combined," Koki snorts, arms crossed.
Ryo barks out laughter. "You can't possibly think Tegoshi's almighty."
Jin, who's standing closest to Kame, hears him mutter, "He sure acts like it." Jin hides his snicker behind a hand.
"It's better to see him in action," Jin says loudly before nodding towards Tegoshi. At this point, the woman in white is starting to fidget fruitlessly in her spot, eyes widening as Tegoshi's eyes started to glow a similar white as the lady's had done long before.
Jin has only seen Tegoshi do this once, and when he did, it had felt like a mixture of pain and emptiness and power all at once. He suspects that the person getting this done to was feeling the same, only amplified by 10 times. She wants to scream, Jin can tell, but the white light surrounding her muffles all the space around her.
Taguchi stumbles backwards into Jin, but Jin can't look away from what he's looking at. It's practically blinding, but Jin thinks he needs to see this. Bit by bit, light travels from the female's body towards Tegoshi whose hands are out in front of him and light is being absorbed by his hands, light engulfing his body slowly but surely.
"Is he... taking her power?" Taguchi gasps in Jin's ear, hand steady gripping Jin's shoulder.
Jin licks his lips and nods slowly, watching as the last bit of light leaves her body and into Tegoshi's. With that last one, she collapses to her knees and lets out a yell that makes Jin wince for her. Tegoshi stumbles backwards, Ryo steadying him.
"Your power is to take others?" Kame asks, voice hollow.
Tegoshi nods slowly, pale as the light surrounding him starts to die down. "The dirty title for it is the Hoarder," Tegoshi explains, settling into a stool that Ryo had brought from near the bar. "I don't keep the powers, taking them from those who mis-use them and giving it to someone made for it and will use them properly."
Koki stares. "How can you even judge that kind of thing?"
"I don't," Tegoshi says simply.
Jin moves to the woman, the only one who does, and tries to help her stand. "I'm sorry," he whispers softly. "That must feel like hell."
She snatches her arm out of Jin's grip, standing up on her own, and tears stream down her face. It's a bit startling for Jin to notice that without her powers, color returns to both her hair and eyes - blonde with green eyes. "You could've been something," she snaps furiously.
Jin looks around at everyone staring at him, curious as to why he'd do something so kind. "I'm already something," Jin says with a sigh. "I don't need your empty promises."
Tegoshi smiles widely.

Tegoshi and Ryo are outside the club waiting after Tegoshi gets his strength back and they have the woman in white captive, their destination the castle. Jin stares at the rest of the guys, Nakamaru, whose arm is wrapped in scraps of Taguchi's hood, looks at Jin questioningly. "What are you gonna do now?"
Jin tries hard not to swallow. When he'd first seen them, it'd been the question that had lingered in the back of his head. He'd left because of a stupid argument, a fact that he'd come to accept after the past couple of months, and nothing he could do would change the events of that afternoon. But he was back now, they were okay with him now. "I-" Jin starts.
"He's gonna run away to his perfect life," Koki says sardonically.
Jin supposes he should have expected that; Koki had been the angriest at Jin's leaving (and his return judging by the looks Koki had thrown at Jin the entire time). "If that's how you feel," Jin says, his words trailing at the end.
It takes a lot of strength for Jin to turn around, his eyes meeting Ueda's as he does for. He's not sure why he lets himself look vulnerable just for Ueda's sake, but for a split second, Jin can feel all the emotion bubble up inside him, and his eyes reveal the hurt. He's barely a few feet from the door when Koki snorts.
"Running away. That's what you're good at, isn't it, Akanishi?"
Jin spins around again, all sorts of emotion flying through him - his blood is boiling, his head is racing and his fingers twitch at the idea of just shaking Koki and telling him that he's off the mark, that he wishes Koki would get it right already. "You-" Jin hisses, eyes blazing. He can barely get the words together in his head, much less out his lips, before Nakamaru interrupts him.
"You are more stubborn than Jin could ever be," Nakamaru reprimands, wincing as he puts an arm over Koki's shoulders.
Koki shrugs Nakamaru's arms off, his eyes never having left Jin's. "Akanishi hasn't said anything, yet."
"Because I can't believe you're still stuck on that," Jin retorts. "It's been, how long?"
"Six months, six days," Koki says promptly.
Kame whistles a bit. "Kept count, did you?"
Koki looks marginally embarrassed at having been caught, but he gives a noise for Jin to continue.
"I told you then, and I'm telling you now. I never accepted the offer. I didn't want it and I still don't," Jin sighs. "Power is always something people seek out, but even I know that we take only what is meant for us."
Ueda snorts slightly. "Growth much?"
"It had to happen some time," Jin says dryly.
Taguchi grins, slinging an arm around Jin's shoulders. "Maa-maa. What's done is done. We should let bygones be bygones!"
"Ask Koki," Jin sighs, staring straight at Koki.
Koki steps forward, standing right in front of Jin and seems to be just gauging Jin's reaction. His hand is outstretched after a very long time, and he grudgingly says, "I still haven't forgiven you, but it hasn't been the same without you here."

"What happened to life with Yamapi and stuff?" Nakamaru asks, his arm back around Koki's shoulders.
Jin sighs. "I love Pi and it's reciprocated, but there are only so many plates I can break before he'll kick me out of the restaurant."
Snorting, Kame slips on his hat again which Ueda snatches off his head. "It's broken," Ueda snaps, moving to throw it behind him.
Kame hisses, grabbing it back. "It's fine!" he complains, putting it right back, leaving the part of the hat with the V cut in it at the front where all can see.
"It looks kinda cool?" Jin says to Ueda, as they start to move towards the doors.
"Why are you on his side?" Ueda snaps, glaring very slightly at Jin.
"Because if at least one person isn't, the crybaby may come out?"
Kame hits Jin on the shoulder which Jin takes with a laugh. When he walks outside of the club, Jin's a little surprised to find that Tegoshi, Ryo and their captive is nowhere to be found.
"They left me?!" Jin cries, looking around to catch a sight of the two.
The remaining five exchange looks before Nakamaru shakes his head. "Knowing Tegoshi, he probably figured that you'd be staying with us, not going back with them."
Jin frowns. "They could've at least told us bye."
"With Ryo? I doubt it," Ueda snorts.
Jin looks in the distance, hoping that that little speck in the distance were the friends he'd made. They'd been a strong part of his life when he'd been gone, and Jin was glad that they'd been around. Things may not have been the way they were now and Jin's grateful for all they'd done for him.
Epilogue:
Tegoshi smiles when he hands over the woman to the Princess' head of security. "It was a good mission for them." Ryo stands in the background, leaning against a wall and just watching the two with arms crossed.
"Never mind that. Are you okay?" the male asks, concerned. "Taking powers away and giving them is always so rough on you."
"I'm fine," Tegoshi says with a laugh. "You worry too much, Massu."
Massu sighs. "As long as you're sure. Do you know who that power's going to?"
Tegoshi grins brightly. "Yup! It was a shame he wasn't born with it, but he was definitely made for it. I think Yamapi's going to enjoy the power of wind."

But jskdha I am really amazed what you manage to come up with on the spot. Because freaking DUDE. I still think giving Yamapi powers had to have been planned or something. (one true pairing = one true power?) And I love that this pretty much means that RyoTego are in league with the rest of NewS. (Or, at least KoyaShigeMassu?) I forget, do Yamapi and Tego know each other? Or is this just Tego's omnipotence at work. Speaking of--I love how Tego's answer to Jin was "I don't." about picking and choosing. And all I'm flailing about is NewS in fantsy!KT fic. LMAO.
But I love how you dealt with Jin's uhm, magical suspension (happy domestic life with Pi?) I guess in this case. And the bitter underlying feelings. jsklda I know I'm not the greatest KT fan, but I feel like there SO MUCH in the whole hiatus/coming back and I was surprised that you chose Koki--

Why were you surprised i chose koki? I don't know how canon i'm being, but i'm pretty sure koki was the most vocal about disapproving of Jin just up and leaving. I could be wrong on my kt canon, but ...i'm pretty sure? idk. if it's false, then i've screwed THAT up. or it'll just be my personal canon. lololol
i seriously didn't meant ot bring yamapi in with a power! it was a total random choice. and then i was like, eeeee totally works when i finally pinned down tegoshi's power.
Yamapi and tego do know each other. it's how jin got to know tego since tego had been a regular (as regular as a traveler can be) at yamapi's restaurant. So yeah. That's hwy yamapi knew exactly who to give the power to. And yes, ryotego do know koyashigemassu. but more so tego than ryo since ryo WAS an enemy in the first part of the thing, going against johnny. although i'm sure massu knew johnny's intentions as head of security.

I wanted NewS to have their own potential arc at some point, so they have to all have powers. a;dlfkjaslkdfj which is why i wnated yamapi to get one, it just so HAPPENED that our enemy in this one had the power of wind. a;sldkfjalksjd and oh look, yamapi doesn't have a power... MATCHING POWERS. KORETTE DESTINY. WHO KNOWS WHAT'LL HAPPEN.a ;sldkjfalj no seriously, who knows. XPPPP
