For you guys:
♥♥♥♥♥♥
In the mean time, Cyn insisted I put my name on this. LOL. So....
Which JE Boy Am I Most Like? Meme! Also, for the past two nights, me and Cyn have been doing 10 minute drabbles. Six to be exact (because I'm lame and wanted to have each and every member as the lead for each one - even went in backward age order! :D)
So here we go:
Cyn's Drabbles (Will Link Once Cyn Posts.)
Drabble #1:
Prompt Words: Fairytale, Stitches
"Happily ever after" was meant to be a dream, Tegoshi thought. In the twisted dark place that is the entertainment industry, nothing ever pure and innocent and just the idea of such a thing kinda makes him wonder how it can even exist.
But the thought only makes him notice the happy things more. Notice the small things that get people through the day.
Like Yamapi smiling at Ryo across the room, just when he's caught sight of him.
Like Koyama always lavishing Shige with attention (not too much, because that'd be suspicious and always a mixture of good and bad).
Like Shige struggling to pretend to be offended by Koyama's so called "affection."
Like Massu happily humming to himself after he's finished his lunch for the day.
Like Ryo saying something snarky to Massu and being able to stump him for about 5 minutes.
It may not mean anything to those not in the room, but to Tegoshi, to them, it's those little things that get them through the day. It's those little things that make him think that it's really not as twisted as everyone seems to think.
Tegoshi think fairy tales shouldn't end with "happily ever after"s, because it paints pictures of a world that has never existed, never will exist. He thinks it should end in "and they lived one day at a time" because that's really how reality goes.
And his thing? Tegoshi just likes it when he sees any of the members smile.
Drabble #2:
Prompt Words: Pencil, Tissue
Shige's been losing things more often than not lately - His keys are inside a random drawer that he can't remember ever using, his favorite shirt somehow ends up under his bed, he can never find that one sheet of notes that he really needs anymore.
He chalks it all up to finals. They're tiring, they're utterly insane, and why do exams even exist?
"You could always use excuses like we do," Yamapi inputs helpfully.
Shige only gives him a dark glare before he scrambles into his bag, looking for a pencil.
"It's not that bad!" Koyama insists. "It's not like we use it that often anyway. Like once or twice."
"A month," Shige grits through his teeth.
"I'm offended by that!" Yamapi pouts.
"Except not, because it's true," Ryo says, rolling his eyes. Beside him, Massu hides his giggles by biting into a meatbun.
"Ne, Shige? Are you looking for this?" Tegoshi asks, handing him a pencil. All the members look at the smiling Tegoshi, watching as Shige takes the pencil from him with a grateful look on his face.
Yamapi looks a little suspicious, "Don't you have finals of your own to worry about, Tegoshi?"
"Un!" Tegoshi chimes, before settling into the spot right in between Koyama and Shige. "But I've been studying so much that I thought it'd be a nice time for a break!"
Shige gives Tegoshi a dry look - studying does not consist of breezing through a book, taking no notes, and just telling everyone what he's read about (Shige'd like to do the same, but unfortunately, nobody liked to listen to him blather on and on about law stuff). "I'm sure you have," Shige mutters before turning to his books again.
He sniffles and a second later, a tissue box is pushed in front of him. Shige looks up at Tegoshi smiling at him again.
"Wouldn't want you to catch a cold!" Tegoshi says cheerfully.
Shige takes it with a smile. He supposes he can be a little more okay with losing things as long as Tegoshi's around to find them for him.
Drabble #3:
Prompt Words: String, City Lights
Massu thinks Tegoshi has this strange adoration for string - it's like watching a cat. He loves to drape it on things that don't need it. Tie things and end with pretty bows. Wrap them around something and declare it pretty-string-ified. Massu blames it on Kuro to Shiro's photoshoot. (Management had decided that as a lovely side gift, to present Maki and Yamapi with as much string as was able to be used in a lifetime. And they did not skimp.)
Maki only laughs when Massu brings it up, telling him that Tegoshi was just being hyper-active.
"He's not usually this bad," Massu insists.
Maki giggles. "You mean you just don't notice."
Massu blinks, before thinking it over. "No, I'd notice these things."
She gives him a smile - one that Massu feels knows everything that's going on, especially at a time when he feels completely thrown off. "Usually you're too close to notice."
"Too... close?"
Maki grins. "I'm sure you can figure it out."
Massu thinks that that's just Maki's way of getting out of it, that she really doesn't know and is just trying to find ways to get him to stop asking. (...He also thinks this is a really good method and should use it more often if the situation were to ask for it.)
Tegoshi runs into the break room, showing off his newest string. "It's my favorite!" Tegoshi squeals before revealing white string with little pink pigs. Almost like they're polka dots.
Massu nods excitedly, because he's not one to discourage Tegoshi. And even if he doesn't quite understand this newest obsession, it'll probably fade like all the past ones.
But within seconds, Tegoshi's looped the string around Massu's neck and ties it - not tightly enough so that it hurts, but not loose enough that it'll shift. He ends it with a bow and pulls back smiling. "You're pretty-string-ified!" Tegoshi declares and Massu feels his heart skip a beat before thinking that maybe this string obsession isn't so bad.
It's five minutes after the thought that Massu finally realizes what Maki means.
Drabble #4:
Prompt Words: Rose, Aspirin
Yamapi mocks throwing a rose as Ryo looks on at him with a tired look. "What are you doing?" Ryo asks, despite his better judgment.
"Practicing," Yamapi mumbles as he scrunches up his forehead, angling his wrist just right.
Ryo stares. "I'd like to say that I don't wanna know. But I do. For what?"
Yamapi holds up the rose and poses dramatically. "Tuxedo Mask to save the day~"
"You..." Ryo starts, at a serious loss, "Do recall that that's an anime character, right?"
Yamapi tilts his head to the side. "Well, of course."
"And you do know that roses do not stick to the ground like he makes them look."
Yamapi gives him a "Duh" face. "It's an anime, Ryo-chan. It doesn't make things real." He looks slightly pitying, like he's telling Ryo this information.
"You cannot save the world with roses!" Ryo snaps.
"Ryo-chan..." Yamapi pauses before leaning over to put his hand on Ryo's forehead. "You don't feel sick. Are you sick? Is a flu coming?"
"No," Ryo grits out. "But I do think I'm getting a headache."
Yamapi blinks before rummaging through his bag, "I think I should have some Aspirin in here."
"Never mind that!" Ryo hisses. "What's the rose about?!"
"Oh!" Yamapi grins. "Jin's never watched Sailor Moon before so showed him. And when I bragged about being able to throw the rose like Tuxedo Mask, he asked for proof. So I'm practicing!"
Ryo stares. Blinks. Then sighs. "Maybe I'll be taking that Aspirin after all."
Drabble #5:
Prompt Words: Cup, Sleeping Beauty
Ryo could hear words all around him - people were talking and not quietly either which was pissing him off. Didn't they see that he was sleeping peacefully on the couch? Had he not taught them common courtesy? Because if he hadn't, then he should get on that.
Or he would if he could even move.
He groans slightly, trying to shift from his position on the couch to another and he can hear the voices fall to a quiet.
"Is Ryo-chan sleeping?" Tegoshi asks the others. Ryo thinks to himself that yes, isn't it obvious? But then, he realizes that if he can think that much, he must not really be sleeping after all.
"I... Think so?" Shige sounds questioning - Ryo thinks Shige's not entirely as smart as he lets others believe; he wonders if he should teach him better.
"He looks like Sleeping Beauty!" Massu chirps, the last syllable being slightly muffled - Ryo assumes he'd just taken a bite of something.
"Except," Koyama mumbles, "Isn't Sleeping Beauty blonde?" Ryo thinks that if he had to give anyone smarts it'd be Koyama.
"And female!" Yamapi helpfully inputs. Ryo likes to think that it was a given that he was male and thinks Yamapi's an idiot for having pointed it out.
Tegoshi giggles. "Does that mean if anyone kisses him, he'll wake up?" Ryo hopes nobody takes Tegoshi seriously, but if he's giving them all doe eyes like he's prone to. Then he wouldn't be entirely surprised if everyone listened to Tegoshi. Ryo figures he's right when suddenly he hears a bit of giggles too.
There's a bit of scuffling and some bodies knocking against the table or the couch, his couch. Where he's lying down trying to sleep. Ryo thinks that if someone's coming over, he'll kill them. But then there's hot breath in his ear and a murmur of, "You're not really asleep, are you?"
Ryo's heart beats faster and he squeezes his eyes, trying to stay asleep. "If you even try, I'll shoot you with the gun under the couch pillows."
A laugh, "But Tegoshi'd cry if I don't do as he says."
Ryo's eyes shoot open and he sits up, narrowly missing Shige's nose as he does so. "You guys are assholes," he snaps angrily, taking one of the pillows and chucking it at whoever's in his line of sight. Which happens to be Yamapi.
"Awww, we didn't get to see if Sleeping Beauty Ryo would wake up to Prince Shige's kiss!" Tegoshi says, slightly whining.
Koyama drapes an arm around Tegoshi's shoulders. "I'm sure they can find another time to put it into practice." Tegoshi gives Koyama a questionable look as Ryo angles his eyes towards Koyama who only grins back. Shige pointedly looks away flushing.
Ryo knew he was right to think that Koyama had the smarts of the group.
Drabble #6:
Prompt Words: Recording, Cold
When Koyama starts sniffling, he knows it's a sign of an impending cold. He instantly dreads it because when he gets a cold, he gets a cold. And it irritates him because he can't do his work as well as he'd like to and he hates that.
When Koyama sneezes once, the members all give him looks of worry, especially when it's an important time for them - CD recording is starting soon and they can't afford to have him not at his best.
"Koyama, you can rest," Yamapi assures him as he leads Koyama to a chair nearby, pushing him down to sit then throwing his thick jacket over Koyama for warmth. "You should focus on being healthy, ne?"
Koyama thinks that their leader really can act like a leader sometimes. "Thanks, Pi," he mumbles, shifting on the chair to get to his most comfortable position and sinking into Yamapi's jacket and breathing in the scent that is their leader.
It's Tegoshi who helps out next, giving him a thermos of water. "Liquids are always good for you! You should make sure you don't get dehydrated."
"Un! Thanks Tegoshi. I'll make sure to wash this before I give it back," Koyama says happily. He can already kinda feel his cold going away. The warmth of his member's love is healing him, he's sure of it.
Massu and Shige both band together and get him soup - Massu makes it and Shige keeps Massu from eating it. Koyama laughs when Shige tells him the story and thinks that he's just saying so because it's something to talk about.
"Thanks a lot, you two. It means a lot," Koyama manages to say with a thick throat. Massu panicks at the sound of it, but Koyama assures him that it's because he's choked up with emotion.
It's Ryo who surprises him the most with his kindness. "Don't overwork yourself," Ryo says grudgingly when he comes by to visit.
Koyama beams brightly. "I think I'm feeling better already," Koyama insists.
Ryo gives him a side glance before smiling. "Good. I'll take you home tonight though just in case."
Koyama nods. He realizes that he's no longer sniffling or sneezing. The power of member ai really does a lot.
Again guys. You're all beyond amazing. <3
