Okay, so there's this thing that
bloodybrilliant and
swtjemz do that's essentially an hour's amount of fic work. And oh look, I have an hour until my Math class is done. I am that bored and trying hard not to fall asleep. EVEN thought I have my laptop. God, that kinda says how boring this class is.
Kinda got the idea from
peroxidepest17.
Yamapi sighs as he leans his elbows against the table, his ears ringing with the yelling of his collegues. It wasn't even all five, just two who were very loud and very annoying and judging by the path of their conversation for the past two hours, very opinionated. He rubs at his forehead before steaming hot tea was poured into the half-filled luke warm tea he had left in front of him. When he looks up, he finds Koyama pouring tea into his cup with a smile.
"Yamashita-kun needs to keep himself genki. Wouldn't want our leader falling asleep in the middle of a meeting." Yamapi gives Koyama a tired smile, which Koyama nods at before moving onto the next person's cup. Massu beams at him brightly and as Yamapi takes a sip of his tea, he wonders just how Massu's able to still stay so cheerful even though they'd been in that impossible conference room for longer than Yamapi had expected.
It was supposed to be a simple project - a commerical put together by a mis-matched group within the company's hierarchy. Some were new, some were experienced, and one was being punished for some trouble he caused in the last project he'd been put on.
As soon as the six people had been put into one room, Yamapi had been instituted quickly as the group's head. He assumed it was mainly because he had been in the company longer (and despite Ryo's almost equal amount of time, Yamapi had worked much more projects that were well recognized). In this case though, the person who was asked to come up with an idea was not Yamapi, but Kato Shigeaki.
"Look," Shige says exasperated, "If you want to portray a diapers commercial, it's almost pretty much required to have a baby in the picture."
"That's over-used!" Ryo argues, his glasses sliding down the bridge of his nose as he speaks animatedly before he pushes it back in place. Yamapi knew exactly why Ryo was there. According to rumors running around the company, Ryo had knocked heads with a certain Ueda Tatsuya in his last project (the idea maker for the last commerical he'd worked on), and unlike his current arguing with Shige, Ueda had more stock in the company.
In other words, he had money and Ryo had been "demoted" from one of the head accounting to just another lackie that Subaru Shibutani (the official head of accounting) could push around even more than he had before.
Shige rolls his eyes, "What do you honestly expect? Show adults with diapers?"
"Hell, has that been done before?" Ryo asks, leaving the question for the rest of the room to answer. His eyes sweep the room and Yamapi does the same, both of them stopping once they reach Tegoshi Yuya.
The youngest male in the room was a new-comer to the company, an intern really who only occasionally looked excited in what was going on. He looks up at the two older males with wide eyes as he tries to discretely hide the cell phone in his hands. "Ah, yes?" Tegoshi says awkwardly, trying to answer a question he hadn't even heard.
Massu laughs hard at this, patting the younger boy in the back as he exclaims, "Good one, Tegoshi-kun!" The room still carries an awkward silence as the rest of the group exchange looks with each other. Along with Tegoshi, Massu was fairly new. Not to the industry in general, but to their company. He had a sheet of paper by his side, lines scribbled out from the start all the way to the middle.
Yamapi sighs, his eyes catching sight of Koyama settling into the seat right next to Ryo (obviously done with handing out all the tea). Koyama was the oldest in the group, but surprisingly had only entered the company just a little after Shige. However, that didn't stop him from rising the ranks as a Public Relations as quickly as the amount of times someone pulled a "single-eyelid" joke on him.
"Maa-maa, Nishikido-kun," Koyama says, trying to usher Ryo to take a sip of his tea, as though it'd help solve all their problems. "I think Shige-kun's on the right track."
Tegoshi jumps in soon after, "I agree too!"
Ryo shoots the younger boy a glare, taking a sip of his tea and placing it down before snapping, "Interns' opinions don't matter to me." Tegoshi blinks and then slumps down in his chair, subbed just a bit. Ryo snorts, "Don't even have a backbone."
Tegoshi opens his mouth to argue, but he closes it soon after.
Yamapi sighs for what had to possibily have been the thirtieth time. "Nishikido-kun, what exactly is wrong with Kato-kun's idea of a baby and diapers? Isn't that the most logical track?"
Ryo throws Yamapi a confused expression, seeming to wonder about the formality, but Yamapi shakes his head to silence Ryo. The older male barely shrugs before he drawls, "Because it was one of their concerns. They don't want just basic and boring. And Kato-kun's is most definitely both."
Shige glares at Ryo, but Ryo either doesn't care or ignores it entirely. There's a long pause before Massu pipes up, "What about a stuffed animal?" Everyone passes him confused looks and Ryo looks ready to insult the male until Koyama interrupts.
"That's not half bad," Koyama murmurs, looking Shige in the eye, "I mean, what we want most of all is to demonstrate softness for this product. And what's softer than a teddy bear?"
Shige raises an eyebrow, "A teddy bear?"
"Actually," Yamapi mutters underneath his breath, his brows scrunching together as he tries to think things together, "Isn't that technically true?"
Ryo snorts, "What, we're going to have the commercial with someone snuggling up to a diaper as well as stuffed animal?" Shige sniggers and when he catches Ryo's eyes, there is a hint of comradery in their exchange. "I'd rather go back to Kato's stupid baby idea."
Koyama looks almost sincerely dejected, "Well, if you think that's the best idea." When Ryo and Shige exchange a look of success, Yamapi catches Koyama and Massu exchanging one of their own and he has to stiffle his laugh as he wonders who really won in this case.

"Ne, Tegoshi-kun, what do you think?" Koyama prompts, their concept idea for the commercial planned out by Shige and approved by Ryo.
Tegoshi looks up from his gaze at an invisible point on the table, startled at the sudden question. "I-" he starts, his voice low and uncertain.
"Why are you asking an intern?" Ryo snaps, glaring at Tegoshi's figure. Yamapi's almost positive he can hear Tegoshi's squeak.
"Well," Koyama reasons, "Tegoshi-kun wouldn't have been put in this group if he didn't have any good ideas of his own." Yamapi watches Massu nod vigorously and Shige looks just a little agreeing. Ryo, on the other hand, looks unconvinced, but he doesn't say anything against it. Koyama turns his attention back to Tegoshi, "I heard you're good with music, so what do you think would be the best idea?"
Tegoshi looks a little bit like he was kicked by a puppy, but he still manages to answer, even though it isn't fully confident. "I thought for a soft commercial like this one," he mutters, "We should make the song soft as well. Maybe an accoustic piece?"
Massu lets out a low "Oooooh" in interest and Koyama seems to really consider this. Yamapi has to admit that the idea doesn't sound half bad.
Okay! Class is ending so I'm leaving. LOL. How was that? :DDDDD
